1. Because...Um....good question. I just really need to get bettah at drawing, and this is the only thing I could really think of.
2. D: Stop maken' fun of meh.
3. I meant, is it even possible to CHANGE maps, so they it is a radio tower in the Johto arc? Not that It would really matter.
4. (lol) Isn't it weird how Team Rocket put they're HQ under a GAMECORNER. I mean, serously.
1. XD Okay, good answer.
2. Sorry, wasn't trying to make fun of you. (I consider research to be Srs Bsns.)
3. I'm not going to be using the same Kanto maps for both the Kanto arc and Johto arc. There are too many changes. In Lavender Town, the Pokémon Tower changes shape; in Saffron City, the Magnet Train gets added; Cinnabar Island is destroyed; the Power Plant gets remodeled and upgraded; Unknown Dungeon collapses; and there are even little changes like that new house in Vermilion, a rearrangement of houses in Cerulean, etc.
Plus, all the NPCs will change, and those that DON'T change will need new scripts. Those that need new scripts, I'd have to do some very difficult scripting in order to make them say one thing (or maybe more than one thing), and one (or more) different thing(s) during the Johto arc. And what about the NPCs that disappear completely after the Kanto arc (like Koga in the Fucshia gym) or show up for the first time in the Johto arc (like Janine to replace Koga in the gym)? What would I have to do? Put a flag on every single Kanto arc NPC that will be activated when the timeskip happens, so that they all disappear at the same time, and put a flag on every single Johto arc NPC to clear during the timeskip, so that they'll all appear during the Johto arc? And what about the NPCs that already have flags, to make them appear or disappear *within* one arc or the other, like the Saffron citizens that disappear while Team Rocket takes over and appear again after Team Rocket's defeated? Setting the flag to make them disappear during the Johto arc would mean that the next time you go to Saffron the Team-Rocket-in-charge plot happens all over again, unless I create a second flag to... *babblebabbleflagsbabblescripts*
*ahem* IN CONCLUSION! The easiest solution is to make new maps. So there will be a full set of maps for Gen I/III-era Kanto, a full set of maps for Gen II/IV-era Johto, and a full set of maps for Gen II/IV-era Kanto. So during the Johto arc it'll look like you're back in the same Lavender Town you were in at the start of the game (with the addition of the Kanto Radio Tower), but in reality you're in Lavender Town's evil twin map from the future. Looks the same, but two different places.
4. I dunno, I used to think it was weird, but that's mainly because "Rocket Game Corner" sounds so innocent. And they probably want it to sound innocent, to draw in the naive kids. Think of it as "Rocket Casino" and it makes a lot more sense. I visited Las Vegas once and stayed in a casino hotel. The entire place oozes of sin, greed, and lust of money. (... And lust of other things, naturally...) It was ridiculous. I have never seen any other place in the world where Team Rocket would be more at home. So, sticking them underneath a casino seems pretty fitting to me.
Will you add a titlescreen to this Hack?
Anyways, thanks for answering my question about the "Broken Bridge" stuff.
Yes, I will! I just haven't gotten around to making it and/or finding someone else to make it yet.
