4th Gen How did you catch Giratina?

Lol this brings up memorys from July . I was on the car , waiting for my mum to come with her clothes (we were leavong to France ) and I was at Giratina .
LOL it took 1 HOUR of soft resets and TIMER BALLS together with DUSK BALLS to have it .
When I caught it I was ... happpy . Till I found out he was Docile . :(
 
umm frozed him tried 9 ultraballs they failed then throw a random pokeball and caught :)
 
I caught it in Turnback Cave in Pearl with a Master Ball...
But I have loads anyway. But that was after Quick, Dusk and Ultra failed.
I'm new to the forums btw so hi guys!
 
got it to red and used a timer ball.
 
Diamond: used a masterball, had quite a few transferred from the gba games.

Platinum: dusk ball after one ice beam. :<
 
I smacked it it in the face with a Master ball. I didnt feel like doing the whole dramatic battle.
 
Here is how it went yesterday in my Platinum

Luxray uses Crunch
Giratina uses Ominous Wind
Luxray uses Crunch (Giratina now down to red)
Giratina uses Ominous Wind
Throw Ultra Ball-Fail
Giratina uses Dragon Claw (Misses)
Throw Dusk Ball...

Success!

Can't remember how I caught it in Pearl but I remember it being a *****
 
i ran into giratina on complete accident.....i was on the spring path in PKM Pearl just to explore because i didn't see that when i first went on that route...i got lost as hell in Turn back cavern and eventually i ran into him by chance....i was like "HOLY CRAP, A GIRATINA!?!"

EDIT: I caught it w/ a master ball cause i wasn't taking any chances
 
I caught mine with a timer ball. I remember using a lot of ultra balls too but in the end the timer ball was the ball that got me my Giratina :3
 
I still haven't caught it in Pearl (I lost my game D=) but I attempted to use the F.E.A.R. Method... Because I forgot that Giratina was a Ghost Type...

In Platinum the stupid thing wouldn't stay inside the darn ball, so I ended up using the Master Ball. :/

whats the F.E.A.R method? it has some prob with ghost types?
