4th Gen How do you like Silver/Rival/Passerby Boy?

Personally, I like Silver/Devin, his rival name on mine.

I think he's the only Rival I actually take seriously....until Lance came along...but even when he was nice to Pokemon, he still was awesome, better than Blue, May/Brendan/Wally and Barry...

So yeah, I have 3 questions:

1. What was your toughest battle with Silver?

2. What did you name him?

3. Do you like/hate his personality?

1. Can't really think of any, most of his pokemons are weak to psychic and I always have either Gengar or Alakazam at my disposal :D
2. Boo, since he seems to come out of nowhere whenever you're in a tough spot
3. I like him. He's a badass by pokemon standard, he's the first one to steal pokemon (beside teamrocket) and he kicks you away for being a bother ^^

None, I never have trouble with him because I have perfects matches for his Pokemon.. and I named him Silver ;x And I don't really like him, he reminds me of Paul

2) Named him Asahara after the mastermind of the tokyo sarin gas attacks.

3) Hate him because he has orange/red hair. Don't like gingers.

2. ハル (Haru) in Japanese, then Jake in English.
3. TBH, I like Silver's personality. He's very badass.

Silver? IMO he's the best rival in the games. =) Someone you like tho hate, has a personality unlike seeming the RSE rivals and to an extent the 'pseudo-rivals' in D/P (i.e. Dawn/Lucas). I could do a big rant about the rivals of games actually, but I'll just say Silver's my favourite. =)

Probably in Silver sometime... back when I was a noob. XD Never lost to him though.

2. What did you name him?

In Silver the first time I named him ??? because it said "??? wants to battle!" XD I know others who did that too. =P I liked calling him Silver when I found out that was his default name though... Now I think I'll call him Silver as well (Soul as a default name? Please), or ??? in my monotype playthroughs just because. =P

3. Do you like/hate his personality?

I like it - I wouldn't like him as a person, but character-wise he's actually interesting, and gives me motivation to wanting to beat him and all. XD

Lavish. Seemed like a appropriate at the time. Glad I thought of it.

Love It. Being an arse is the way to win in this universe, glad they kept his personality intact.

2. What did you name him? I named him Kitsune (Fox in japanese, because I am Wolf *Okami*)

3. Do you like/hate his personality? I hate it, because that's the way I would act. Other than that, he could be my son.

I like that they've kept his behaviour and didn't give him a mindchange. It makes me feel younger again^^

2. I might just call him Silver or something to do with the game. It's been a tradition of mine :D

3. I sort of always liked his personality, it was mysterious and cool. The only thing I hated was his mistreating of Pokémon, but meh.

1. Ha. I grinded my starter on the way to Mr. PKMN, and then used Arceus to get the Lv.1 Giratina after beating Falkner. So I just dragonbreath everything. This is the equivalent of the trainer setting his pokemon on fire and then requesting a battle.

2. Well, the cop asked who he was, and I was like, "IDK," and now everyone calls him that.

3. He's so awesome. Especially what he says about Team Rocket right before you enter the Ilex Forest. I was like "HOLY CRAP. THIS GUY IS AWESOME."

3) He a guy I want to punch in the face, so yeah. He's a great rival. :D

1) Well, I only fought him once, and the fight went flawless for me, so so far, None.

2) "Assface", I am not a very original person, and he seemed like an "Assface" to me.

3) It definetly fits his name.
