Several months to years, depending if I get stuck someplace.

Reason? I want to get as much as possible out of it--all the secret characters/weapons, etc.

If it's a fairly long game like Kingdom Hearts, then I like to take my time. I don't want to rush through it just to say "I beat it!" when there are still plenty of weapons, etc. left to unlock. I know that some people would rather play through them a second time to do all of the extra stuff, but... I dunno. It's not as fulfilling as doing it on your first try. XD

But that's just me. My brother is the exact opposite and if he's playing something with me, we'll usually finish it in a few days.

It depends. It really, really depends.

First playthrough? I'll play whenever possible. Sometimes that's often, sometimes not. Might get through it quickly, might not. Generally, it'll be quicker the more I like it.

Second playthrough? FOREVER. Even if I like the game. I know what happends, I don't have much of a reason to play. So...I tend to ignore it and play once and a while.

When I plan and intend to play through a game or series of games, I try to do it as quick as possible. If they can be done in a single sitting (even if it means 12 hours straight), then I do it.
