Depending on my mood and time and the kind of game, it usually takes me around 4 days to a week. But that's just "finished the game" not, "Go back and fully finished it." I usually can't be bothered playing a game again to fully complete a game. @_@;; Unless I really liked it.

It depends on the kind of game for me. Sometimes a few weeks and sometimes up to a year seeing as I don't have that much time for game play. =\
And I usually can't be bothered unless I really enjoyed the game and just felt I definitely needed to finish it.

A week. I can't stand playing it the first day, I want to enjoy the story. And since I usually buy decently long games, it takes me to beat one from a week to two.

If it's not an RPG or a console game, it will take me less than 4 days to beat. For any console game, at least a week.

it really depends on what the game is. It can take from a few hours to a few weeks. But to fully complete the game can take a few more weeks than just beating it.

    (yay! 200 posts!)

As it's already been said, it's too broad a category. Some games like Gears of war are just straight story lines; I completed this game in a day. Games like RPGs are nigh on incompletable, I've had oblivion for almost a year and im only about 60% through

It really depends on the game. Oblivion has already been mentioned. I have already completed the main quest and all the smaller guild quests yet I am still not even close to finished. I had the help of the official Oblivion strategy guide at my feet as well

Anyway if it is an FPS game it takes me around 1-2 days since they are usually very short. The exception is Deus Ex. If it is an RPG it takes me 1-2 weeks roughly. Elder Scrolls is the exception.

It really depends on the game, because some make sure they take you longer, or a rough amount of time, like FE. But in most cases, it takes me a day or so of play time to complete them, though I don't play games hours on end, being as I don't have the time.

It depends on what video game your playing. I sometimes beat some games in 1 day, but I voted for 2-3 days or even 4 days. ;)

It depends on the game. I don't get much time to play so FPS games normally take me about a week. RPGs normally take me a month unless I find them boring.

Depends on the game. But I got Final Fantasy XII the day it came out... I watched the ending movie a year after getting it. I got Pokemon Diamond the day it came out, I still haven't beat all the Gyms. I got Twilight Princess 2 weeks after coming out (Wii ver) and I still haven't beat it. I got Super Mario Galaxy the day it came out and I still haven't beat it. Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, Tales of the World, Tales of the Abyss, Assassin's Creed, Tekken DR, and the list goes on and on.
All of them games I've yet to beat but has had for sometime.

So my answer is... months... it takes me months to beat games.... unless it's a game like Brawl where I got all the characters and levels within a week.

Like just about everyone else has said, it depends entirely on the game. If it's a game I've been looking forward to playing it usually takes 2 - 4 days to finish, (although surprisingly, Kingdom Hearts: Re Chain of Memories took longer than that.) but there are other games I'll probably never play through completely. Final Fantasy III is one of those. I pre-ordered the game, got past the 5 first bosses and have never touched the game since. Some games can take weeks for me to finish simply because I either forget what I'm doing and end up drifting around aimlessly or because there are a lot of areas to explore. It took about 10 days for me to get through Final Fantasy IX on my first playthrough and I hadn't even bothered with the Chocobo Hot & Cold minigame or beaten Ozma or Hades on that save file. I might have finished the game a day earlier than I did if it wasn't for my Grand Dragon hunting on disc 2.

Depends, I can do it with in a few days, But Usually I take Breaks, do other stuff, so It depends on my Mood too.

With games like Kingdom Hearts II or Brawl, where I was waiting years to play them, I'll usually finish them in about a week or less. Brawl took 3 or 4 days to unlock everyone and all stages and KH2 took under a week to complete the first time. But for other games, it'll take me a while, especially now that I have a lot less time to play. That and I keep taking on too many games at once. Started a new one just this morning that probably won't be finished for a while. XD; It'll take me months or years to beat most other games.

Hey man so I have this game right? and its in my cell phone right? and my cell phone is in my room! wait.. thats not important..... anyway so I have this game right? wait... i think i already said that.. Ok so its in my cell phone right? and its about a little snake that has to go around eating fruits I KNOW CRAAAZY! Well the thing is that the game has no end!! The snake keeps eating and eating and eating and eating and MAN it drives me nuts !!! One time it made me drive a pencil through my right eye!!! I was like OOOWWWWW what the heck? Point is that to this day I still haven't beat that darn game.... I was kidding about the eye thing... sorry if anybody took any offense in it I'm just crazy like that.... OR AM I!?!?!? ... no just kidding im normal.......

    A very long time.

I don't really like beating games as fast as it's possible to beat them. I like drawing out the storyline as long as possible. I got both Pokemon Pearl and Phantom Hourglass on the day I bought my DS (early December 2007), and I haven't finished either of them. In fact, I haven't finished any of the games I have for my DS. I'm the kind of person who puts off getting to the end of a game as long as I can.

One game I actually did finish in a relatively short time was Wind Waker. It took me a good month to beat it, but that's a relatively short time compared to the time I take to beat other games.

The exception is when I'm renting a game from the game store. Since it's due back on a certain date, I try to get as far as possible quickly. I beat Pokemon Ruby on a two-week rental, and The Minish Cap on a one-week rental. If I actually own the game, I take as much time as I want beating it.

It takes me a couple of YEARS to beat a game. Because, I usually play a game for about a month and then I get another game. Then I get addicted to the other game and forget completly about the first game I played.
