Well to start I don't think niche forums like this are that popular anymore in general. I would bounce around some other forums like this one that centered around different topics and most of them are gone or dead. Secondly, the member base here is generally young. I joined here when I was 15 and I loved it then with all the other teenagers. Now I'm 25, I've seen all the repeating thread topics here countless times and I can't relate to the younger base anymore. Lastly, if I'm really looking for other peoples insights on a topic I much rather look on a huge forum like reddit than here. In the grand scheme of things this forum houses a small community of people who generally have the same interests. That's nice in the sense that there is a community, but on the other hand it limits discussion leaving something to be desired.

From the standards of how Pokémon forums currently are, this place is doing amazing.

It's not as busy as it used to be, but also it's increasing since Janna took over ownership, which is cool!

Though, if you're not in the mood to talk about Pokémon or media, there's not much here - but there's not supposed to be, either.
It's Pokémon, and in that way, it's going strong! If the original member base were to see it now, I think they'd be impressed.

It's really changed from when I first started here which isn't at all bad. I've seen a lot of stuff come and go along with people. (I wish my pair would come back. Wheeeh) bit all in all. I'm glad PC is a place I can continue to return to

Society just changes a little bit faster now with the internet having hit mainstream and all. Forums also somewhat fell out of favor due to social media and the core of a community, who has been around for a while, has grown up and realized that some things they did in the past may not be a good thing. It's those that now try to keep things running, except less "raw" for the lack of a better term. Heck, even I'm (slightly) less of a jerk then I was a couple years ago.

i can't believe the s in s-man stood for suspended
