    Hi there!
I'm not a regular player, but I was thinking about changing that pretty soon. Way back in elementary school, I played the original Silver to death, and was pretty into Pokémon as a whole. It's sure been a while, but I got an itch to try and jump back into the franchise. I remember having a blast with it and would sure like to pick it up again.

I made a thread in the general gaming section asking about recommendations on what to do to resume my adventures, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask here as well!

Heya! Welcome! And oh boy, I love playing Pokemon Gold myself! But yeah, it's nice that you're back in the franchise! Indeedy, you'll be able to get some recommendations here, in which my own reccomendations would be Pokemon Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby, as well as HeartGold or SoulSilver. Both really good games! <33

Anyways I hope you and I will be great friends and if you need a hand you can contact me anytime. Have a nice stay and hope to chat with you soon~ c:

PC welcomes you with open arms and I can promise this is a great forum for anyone who just got back into Pokemon as well as new/old fans alike. [': Nice to meet you, Aristo!

Honestly it would be awesome if you could catch up on all the main series titles you've missed at least but that might be asking for too much, lool. They're just all amazing and are great games to play regardless of how old they are. X/Y and OR/AS (sixth gen, most recent) are also great though so whatever you decide on would be a-okay. Have fun and stick around. ^_^

    Thanks for the welcomes!

I think the main appeal for me with these games are the ledgendaries - uncovering their secrets, seeig what they can do, capturing them for yourself, that sort of thing! So I'd unapologetically say that I'd be interested in the games with the most powerful, if not the most interesting ledgendary rosters.

But other than that, I'm really interested in community-based features like trading, battling, socializing over WiFi and the like. I remember when you had to connect your handhelds to do any of that! I'm eager to explore many of the newer features the more contemporary games have introduced, which will most likely manage to hold my attention for a while.

However, I can't say I'm not intimidated by the prospect of playing through several past generations to get caught up. For example, if I go back and jump into gen III or IV, I'd be wary of trying to crawl after everyone who might be wrapping up V and VI. I'm not real sure how the 3DS WiFi works with the newer Pokémon games. Can someone with an older gen still interact with people in higher gens?

No worries, that's perfectly normal the first time around~

But hey, the people are friendly! And no, it doesn't matter what version of pokemon you have; you can chat with whoever you want! In fact, some people here don't even have pokemon games, and still strike up discussions with others, but yeah!

As said before, if you need a buddy or someone to assist you, I'll be happy to help. :3

Welcome Aristo to the forums, hope you like it here and have much fun here, like you I started out playing crystal and loved it and haven't stopped ever since, but do hope you find one of the new gens. to play and get back into it again, see you around.
