Hurricane Katrina

Well I feal sad for the people in the super dome now.But on my way to school when we were hit with leftover rain I got sick!

Something I found in another forum...

From a friend of a friend in Baton Rouge...

Yeah, I'm still in B.R.

Don't come back here for a while. They are trying to stifle it on the
news but crime is running rampant here and people are panicking. They
shut downtown B.R. down on the Government exit, sending all government
officials home becuase it was unsafe. I talked to a gentlman while
waiting in line who worked down there, people were being escorted to
their cars by the swat team. I almost bought a gun, and you know I hate
them. I do carry mace wherever I go. Carjackings, rapes, robberies are
being heard about all over the city but nobody offical is saying
anything. We're thinking about moving, and so are other people I work
with. I'm hoping it calms down soon though, now that they're actually
getting more people out of N.O. with the convoys this morning (friday).
Took them long enough, those poor people.

*hug*

IF you go back to N.O. please please please be careful. They burned down
the mall on the westbank, and are lighting everything on fire down there.
The cops are quitting but I'm sure you're hearing all of this.

Gah, I have a few friends there I haven't talked to in a while, hope they're alright.

Yeah, I've been reading the newspaper (a thirteen year old who reads the newspaper everyday, GASP!) and its really sad. My mom says that all the jails got knocked away, and theres a lot of violence going around in New Orleans as I read. If they weren't killed by the storm, they could get killed by the escaped convicts. Good thing I'm in New Jersey, and we usually get the rains and the floods, not the destruction.

I heard about the hurricane in the news too, and I feel sorry for everyone. Destroyed houses, destroyed ways..destroyed lifes.. =(

Yeah, I just hope that my cousin is okay. he said that he was living outside since his house is completely flooded. oh my poor cousin, ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope he's okay?

::pats MysticTrunks:: Erm.. I don't know how to say this. eh.. cheer up, mmkay? :)

I am not a victim, but I live in Houston and a lot of the victims have been evacuated here. They're living in the astrodome, it gets pretty cramped up there.

I feel bad for them (and I hate sounding mean) but the most of the victims are acting like real a-holes.

A friend that I have volunteered to help out, and she says a lot of the astrodome residents are becoming violent. They're beating eachother up for some freaking food. Most of them are being stupid morons, they're not grateful that Houston is trying their best to give them some freakin shelter and then they're sabotaging our freakin stores. :/

But yes, I do feel very bad for the casualties. I mean, its pretty sad losing somebody like that.. I'm planning on donating too, especially on Christmas. I got some nice spanking new toys that I could give to those poor children.

..It must feel terrible leaving your hometown and living in some strange butt town..

Thanks for the pat. But I'll try to call him since his phone must be underwater.

P.S. My cousin is not an a-hole, Greeb.

..Don't you mean Greed? :p

No I was not calling your cousin an a-hole o_o; I was saying the vandals were the a-holes, not the victims >_>; I don't even know your cousin lol

Well you have to look at it from their point of view too. They've come almost nine hours on buses that have little to no cooling systems, packed buses at that. They're sick, hungry, a lot probably just lost family members...most lost everything they had. And all that happens in less than a week? It'd get to anyone, there isn't a person that could go through all that and not start to crack.

No hay problema, MysticTrunks. I'm not that mean to bash on anybody :)

To me, they should behave. :/ We're cracking our butts open to give them shelter, and food.

What they're doing here is breaking our stores open, and getting in trouble. We're being nice, and they're acting like freaks.

They just ought to get a grip. Their home is lost, bad thing. But at least they got their lives. So what if their hometown went to hell? They should just try to be more grateful to the towns providing shelter for them, it just annoys me :/

Oh you speak Spanish? Anyway, did you see when the President went there and was hugging people. It's so nice of him.

Some people just can't get a grip, it's not as easy as just showing them what they have. It's not just their home they lost, they lost everything, they lost the places where they grew up, they lost where they had spent most of their life. And right now they're doing anything they can just to stay alive I guess. It's probably why there are people being killed in that city by looters with guns....everything's just a mess right now and until yesterday communication was the worst it could have ever been.

I can't blame them for being nervous, that happens to all of us. But that gives them no reason to start pummeling everybody. They're so out of control that the police even got permission to inmediately shoot vandals on sight. If they survive, good. If they don't, too bad~

::To MysticTrunks::
Si, yo hablo espanol. XD Eso es obvio :3

I'm not a supporter of Bush. He only is demanding CASH DONATIONS.. Greedy moron. ::looks at self::

It's so ****ed up,I can't even stand it. It's so depressing seeing people walking in water, crying,it's just so sad. Espeically when that one man with both his children AND his grandkids who claimed he lost his wife(He wasn't really sure.)

"She said...Take care of the kids."
"She was all I had."
"I have nothing to live for."

And the retarted newsreporter asked him: Where are you going now?

"I have NOWHERE to go. I'm lost."

I pray everynight that these people survive this horror, and hopefully, that he will find his wife.

To the victims of this terrible devastation: our prayers are with you. I live in California and feel horrible about what is happening on the Gulf coast. I read the paper and watch the news and it is just total chaos. I feel bad that all I can do is put a few measly dollars in the donation box in P.E.. I plan on dumping my life savings(fifty bucks) into it the next time they pass it around...

All I can say is this: in times of crisis, when all seems lost, the best thing you can do is to keep hoping and believing somehow. There is a good God and I believe that people are really mostly good, and people will keep trying hard to help all they can.

I wanted Kerry to win because I knew something like this may happen. First we had the war with Iraq to woory about and now this. I wonder how much la Gasolina is going to be when I get a car. It better not be $5.00 to $10.00 or I'll stranggle myself.
(*getting ready to Die*) Ugh...

Hurricane Katrina was a horrible tragic event, those you have lost ones, I'd like to say that I am feeling bad that ones you loved have lost (unless you didn't lose any XD)

I heard at school that the floods have gotten really really deep o.O

Thankx lunicantjohhny. I hope not? I just gotta see my cousin.

I'm so sorry, MT....and everyone else....*blows nose*
