Anyways I saw tha news. Yeah, there were victims indeed, tch, but like whishirulz said, even though it was a cataclysmic force(F5s are tha most powerful tornadoes) its death toll doesn't reflect its force fully, since warnings got most ppl out of its path. Yes, tch, tha material damage will probably be tha biggest concern, tch, since, unlike ppl, properties don't move out of a tornado's path.
Other than that what can I say? Tch, it's a perfectly natural phenomenon. An F5 is indeed rare, but nevertheless still a natural phenomenon, tch, an' it will happen again at some point. Tornadoes just form, there's no way ta stop it... tch, an' as long as ppl will inhabit exposed areas,which they obviously will, since large city populations obviously have no intent of moving, there will always be a risk. Until mankind finds a way ta cope with, or block such callamities there will always be people dying.

that's my roumanian brother talking there!. plus the clinton/bush rasing fond rased up to 34 million dollars for the familys of the disaster and something like 12 rapers are trying on separate tours to rase money for the familys. and finaly, kanye west had some sort of good reson to say this "bush does not care about black people" (im not saying i agree im just telling the truth) he blames him because the help was a rediculesly slow. if it were tru bush jr. would have had to retire erly of his post but, bush did'nt count on something. *not flaming i swear* wen the tsunamie happened, 5 hours later the help and rescu came, one week after katrina the help (food etc...) comes and i dont know if you new but louisinana is in USA and wen the tsunamie came it was US who helped them. right next dore and 3000 miles difference im not being flamist but there's something weird about this
 
Wow...usually disasters bring people TOGETHER, not apart. The only things we should worry about here is the people who are still suffering from the aftermath of Katrina. You people just need to realise the fact that arguing about the President and all the others doing their jobs when there are more important matters at hand...now I just wanted to say that. And it would be nice if the flaming stopped..its not helping at all..

So we all admit that blaming Bush for this is retarded thinking...Chairman Kaga said it by FAR the best when he said "The white house doesn't have a button in it that says 'launch hurricane'" Exactly...

And Kanye West should be reprimanded. Yes what he said was his honest opinion, but do any of of you know WHEN he said it? He was at a Red Cross fund raiser trying to raise money for the victims. Him and his co-host mike myers were reading off a telepromopter, when Kanye decided to go off his own little rant. At the end of which he said, "George Bush doesn't care about Black People." C'mon, show some class dude. That's taking advantage of something that should be more sacred than just voicing your opinion that had nothing to do with what you're doing there...

And even sadder was the fact that NBC or whoever aired the fundraiser didn't cut Kanye off...it was just too juicy a news tidbit, AND probably the secretly-shared opinions of NBC. I tell all of you the truth, there is no such thing as responsible and impartial journalism anymore on the part of the mdeia, and no respect, restraint, or tact on the part of celebrities. It's incredibly disheartening.
 
all natural disasters need to be looked at seriously (duh). but a tornado comes and goes and like does'nt do much, huricane (wow) including tyfoon and the other eye thingy. a tsunamie happenes once in 100 years. so its a wonder that we saw it. but wen a huricane flodes it's a chace like 20% out of 100. the people were hiding from the 100 miles an our winds at the low level. wen the flood started the traped, weik, hurt, old people that could'nt move to highter ground died (may they R.I.P.) this is like serious they should (note the word should put houses on highter ground, to close to water (your dead) to far (no city) and finaly to low (your drowed) so somehow they need a ground elevation.

First line in my post above "Ok Randall-Kun this is your final warning on flaming and going off topic before I give you a 1 week temp ban."
After my post I counted 5 off topic posts from Randall. So he got what he wanted.

Anyway this thread has really got way off track. Now I could say get back on topic but that didn't work when I said it before. So what I'm going to do is lock this thread. Anyone wanting to talk about Hurricane Katrina then they can start a new thread. And if a new one is started then lets try to stay away from Bush bashing or better yet, don't bash anyone. Just talk about the Hurricane and the people and all that kind of stuff. This thread was going ok before all the Bush crap, so I think it can turn into a good thread if none of this happens in the new one. So if you guys want (that I think will happen) start a new one.
