News reporter: Oh it's just Mexico plus they're hit by so many storms every summer anyway. OH MY <swear swear> 2 PEOPLE GOT SHOT IN USA, like, CATASTROPHIC! Hurry crew! We must get there immediately!


Mexico did get hit, but nowhere as extensive in damage because they are prepared through experience, and Mexico doesn't have a huge pot of water.

Even more importantly, Mexico got no oil so screw Mexico for the world. Fellow Europeans, let's donate to the USA so they can set up their oil factories asap.

(I'm sorry people, but that's politics)

Katrina is stronger when it hit Florida, but Florida isn't below sea level so it is fine. The water keeps accumulating in those regions below sea level, so the damage dramatically increases.
 
@#$%, I wish people could learn to tell the difference between the American media and the American people. WE care, THEY don't. Don't judge us by our news. We can't help not knowing it if they don't tell us.
 
That's NOT funny! People have died, homes destroyed, unrepairable damage done...Considering your a christian you should be praying for these people , not making jokes about them!
 
That is horrible. How can you laugh at that? Anyway, I am going to start a collection fund at my school, so we can send care packages and money to help repair New Orleans.
 
Our school is to. And I agree that was not funny. I can see where you got the bad rep. We packed a box full of canned food and romen adn stuff to donate to the people in New Orleans. I hope it helps.

I'm just informing you that when Katrina hit Florida it was a category 1 Hurricane and when it hit Louisian it was a category 5 Hurricane.Big difference.
 
He is right about that. Anyway, my friends and I have already starto organize it. We saw all these benefits and we had to doo something about it. We have to help in anyway.
 
Y'know, Concerning basements, What if you don't have one? Then you go in the bathroom. I've allways considered australia "Safer" because we don't really have tornados or earthquakes. But i feel sorry for all the people who died:(
 
Well um...some people from New Orleans came to California. Then they went to this place that's like a church. And then the homeless people came inside to eat. I passed out sodas when the people came in. Then this guy said he lost a leg in the water because his leg hit a log from a tree. And I thought that was odd. Well I have done something to help the victims of katrina
 
I am NOT looking forward to school on Thursday...

When Jackson area schools re-open, we expect to see thousands of students going to school here, which will give way to overcrowding.

Schools in Madison County, the county I live in, are especially overcrowded with the huge boost in population in the past five years. It's going to be pretty unusual going to school with so many kids...*shudders*

People on my street are sending money to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to help our fellow Mississippians. Although we're a lower middle class neighborhood with some households in poverty conditions, we have enough money to help.

Ok sorry if I'm breaking any rules here but...
I was watching a news report on channel four earlyer today and it was about the army searchign for survivors of HK.

Well I got extremely annoyed at the thing and broke my TV...Wanna know why?
Because they were floating past looking for HUMAN surviors, nothing else...No animals...I love animals so much ok? And they were filming loads of dogs stranded on houses,etc....and I thought to myself "WHY THE F&!# arn't they doing anythign about the animals?They filmed this one dog on his last legs floating along the river...I thought..."I now realise that all news reporters are heartless,souless,evil ba#?!erds". I then got fully enraged and pushed the tv off its stand ...Smashing my Xbox,Dvd player,etc...I just couldent belive what I was watching...

I felt the same way about when they do reports from disaster zones with Humans..DON'T JUST STAND THERE FILMING DO SOMETHING!

...Yeah this will probably be closed but...oh well ^_^
 
ok after one week the helps (food, clothes etc...) comes , that's at the maximum to slow, in the tsunamy they sended like 5 hours after the actident.

Yeah, I just talked to my cousin and he's doing pretty well. I've told him that the only thing that matters is that He's in good health cause you can always buy houses, but not lives. ^_^
 
Why was this closed? I think this is a valid thread with a plause for conversation...

very good point ダッシュ. it angers me taht the crews just stand there filming and they dont do anything to help.

I may sound heartless but...I really don't think they should...I think they should focus 100% of their offorts on saving people, I mean, you can say a dog's life is more important than a little girls. I'm not saying you should ignore the animals all together, but put the priority on peope first
