If you were a trainer in the Pokemon world, what trainer class would you be and why? Here's a list of trainer classes in case you don't know what I'm getting at.

Also, slight bonus question, have you ever battled someone with your own name, and if so, what class were they?

Yes, the only reason I'm asking this question is because I battled a Hiker Jonathan (!!!) and thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I'd be a breeder, so i could use six of the same pokemon to annoy people

I'd probably try to be a Boarder (with a cool-looking snowboard) just because I always thought that trainer class looked fresh and had an interesting concept back in Gold. It's not much of an Ace Trainer (which I'd probably try to be instead if I stick with my favourite Pokémon instead of just Ice-types) but it's got an attitude of its own. Oh, Campers, Bug Catchers, Black Belts, Tubers and Fishermen (really, any trainer class specializing with Water-types) are awesome, too.

I've battled a Dragon Tamer with my more used first name once. It was fun, and of all Dragon-types the guy had to have, he had Garchomp. I guess having the same name gives you good taste in this case. :D

What ^ said, they do have the best outfits.

But I would more realistically be a sort of a cross between a Youngster and Elite 4.

...what I'm trying to say is that I'm pathetic at battling, but for some reason I have high level Pokémon.

I'd most likely be a socialite, rubbing elbows with the rich. My socialite friends and I would sip wine and eat finger sandwiches as we would laugh at the poor create pokefundraisers.

I can't remember if I've ever encountered another trainer with my name, but two of my friends had the same name as pokemaniacs O.o

I'd be an Ace Trainer because I like using different types of Pokemon and have a pretty good knowledge of battle tactics.

If I were actually a character in the game, I get the feeling I'd stick to cute Pokemon, or just whatever species are available locally since I'd be too lazy to travel (i.e. common, low-level stuff). So, it seems like Youngster/Lass would be most fitting.

As for the bonus question, I have come across someone in White with a similar name to mine, though I can't quite remember what class they were. It was probably either a Scientist or a Psychic, I can't be bothered to search right now, haha.

I would consider myself an Ace Trainer or Expert. When I train my Pokémon I like to train them to their maximum potential and understand their abilities. Those two classes are pretty much the definition of that.

I'd probably go for Ace Trainer, though that's mainly because many of the trainer classes specialise in only one (or two) types, which is not exactly my piece of cake. I'd like to have several types that cover each other's weaknesses and strengths, to have the possibility to face each challenge with a headsup. I figured that if I would follow my real personality and hobbies, that I'd probably be a mix of several trainer classes. But Ace Trainers are closest to the Pokémon I want to have.

Looking through the classes, I think I'd be an Infielder. They seem to have a variety of different types throughout their parties, and I like playing baseball too, so that's a bonus.

As far as battling someone with my own name (Brendan), the only way I'd be able to do this is if I played as the female character on R/S/E. I'm pretty his class would just be PkMn Trainer.

    Easy, Battle Girl :bandit:

I do Taekwon-Do myself and I'm very much a "girls are just as tough as guys" kind of person so Battle Girl is PERFECT for me :) Plus, orange is my favourite colour AND I always wear my blonde hair in a ponytail :D

Also, coincidentally enough, I have faced a Battle Girl in Emerald with my own name :)

To answer my own question, after having looked at all of the classes, I really fancy myself as a Glasses Man - from Pokemon Colosseum. Even looking at the sprite, they seem pretty cool, and I have glasses. I could SO be a Glasses Man!It's so much better than a Hiker... even if Hiker Jonathan did ask the protagonist for some food, which is something I'd do! :D
