[Sword & Shield] I gotta say, I love the Exp candies

I usually have a simple strategy when it comes to Pokémon games, seta base team and use a TM or grind one or two B-team Pokémon for certain gyms or battles. Though with the exp candies, I can fully train any of these guys without the extensive grind. Which is great for catching shiny Pokémon, mystery gift Pokémon or gigamax forms. I hope it's something that stays over to the next games because I'm using team combinations that I wouldn't even thought of.

I used candies on a newly hatched Grookey to bring it up to level 25-ish and made it a regular party member. They're really useful for catching up, giving you great freedom to rotate your party - which I love since I've got about 10 Pokémon I really want to use regularly.

I use Exp. Candies sparingly outside of that to keep it fun, don't want to get too overleveled.

I've only used them post-game to get Pokemon to level 100. The wild area is like something I dreamed about. So much fun.

Oh they're great! Much better than rare candies, imo. It's been a life saver for Pokémon that I need dex entries for but don't feel like training.

they've been total lifesavers for completing the dex!!

I've recently discovered the value of the candies as I'm working to get some recently bred Pokemon (with proper IV's and EV's) up to Lv. 100. I've got quite a few from doing raid battles, and they've proven especially helpful as those Pokemon are approaching the Lv 75 range and grinding in the Wild Area is becoming more of a chore.

I like them too. Kinda saw them in LGPE already, but at least one QoL feature from there made it across.

The EXP candies were a pretty clever and well-executed idea...probably the only one the games had, but still a great one they need to implement in future titles. They allow you to do what is most fun in the game - raid battles - and avoid doing what is the least fun in the games - grinding off wild Pokemon, which took an obscene amount of time for a Pokemon title. I didn't do ANY training in Shield after I got to the Wild Area, I just did a ton of Raid Battles and used the candies to keep my Pokemon up to speed. They also made filling the dex extremely quick and relatively pain-free.

dude i love them they're so perfect and it's easy to farm for more of them. and like idk they don't feel as cheap as using a rare candy? like when i just need a pokemon to catch back up but i don't wanna go ape shit about it it's good. which is funny i say that bc you could arguably gain more levels with those than by using the rare candies if you do...math or some shit idk don't quote me on this i hate math the point is i love candy

Where where these EXP candies when I did my living dex in gen 6???? I had to hack in rare candy!! and I'm not sorry

Seriously though I love the candies. Evolving to finish my dex was a breeze. I got my in-game team to level 100 so quickly. I need to clear some Delibird raids so I can get a team of level 100 Dwebble. These are the dumb ideas only possible with EXP candy.
