    OK! i have recently purchased a PMD explorers of sky prima autherised guide.

    on page 229 there i saw a picture of a new pokemon, it appears to be a pre evolution of barboach judging on its colours and shape.

    There was no other information on the pokemon.

    It kinda just looks like a Barboach from the front (like your looking at it straight on), but there's also no dorsal fin. You say this guide is from Prima? That's kinda weird.

    EDIT: Wait a second, is there an item in Mystery Dungeon that looks like that?

    Um, I don't think that's a Pokemon... The pink part that appears to be the tongue is the exact same color as the pink background. The outlines on the "tongue" also seem too thick. After looking at it a while, it appears to be a hood of some sort.
     
    That's not a Pokemon, it's a space station. I mean a item.
     
    O.K, there are several things i can interpet from this.

    1. Kirbypichu seems to be right about it's "item" look. It's eyes have no shine, possibly showing is not a live thing. and remember, in the "Croagunk Swap Shop", he makes items for specific Pokemon. and since this is from the PMD2 book, it seems to point that way.

    2. My second best guess? It's a fusion of Gulpin and Barboach. Looks closely. It has Gulipns, physical struture, open mouth, and whiskers.
     
    New Pokemon? 'tas loco. That's obviously some sort of weird-ass-cap item thingy. I knew this would be madness when I saw "I" in the thread title. Seriously you are not the first person to buy this thing so I would be very sure that someone would have said something about this first if it was real.

    But some people simply have less degrees of obvservancy. You can't jump to conclusions. You also have to be logical. If this was something new it definitely would not be laying around in a worthless page corner instead of a whole page dedicated to teasing on the next generation. It's not Boolean algebra.
     
    Yeah buddy, that's not a 5th generation pokemon. To me that looks like the little guy in mario brothers that you squash. Don't you think if nintedo released info about a 5th generation pokemon it would be reported on serebii or some other pokemon news website? That may be from another game or something related to a game. Plus a i'm sure your not the first guy to purchase this item.

    That was an interesting photo, and I got excited to when I first saw it now :) But after reading the posts above, I agree with them. It's probably a cap of some sort from PMD.
    Cool find though, be ever on the look for any 5th gen hints! ;)
     
    After looking at the photo I agree its just a cap but I can't wait until we do get to see the 5th generation Pokemon.

    Quite recently something new appeared. We think it's a Pokémon, the thing happens to exists in Mysterious Dungeon too. There it may be an item, but several sites believe it's a new Pokémon! I think it's the pre-evolution (Baby-Pokémon) of Barboach, because I think it's quite a look-a-like. It is smaller than Barboach, so it's probably no evolution of Whiscash, I think. Look and judge for yourselves.

    One again, this isn't official at all, the picture was published on the Japanese Nintendo Pokémon Official Website, but they weren't clear in what it actually was. It could just as well be an item.

    It supposed tongue is white so it shows its either a hollow pokemon or it confirms its a bonnet.
     
    Barboach is too cute and small to have a pre-evolution. :3
     
    If you got it from a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Guide Book, then it's quite obvious that it's an item. The thing about the PMD guide books, they put sugimori art of items in their guide books. Those are actually one of the newest items to Explorers of Sky, although, I forget which one it is. Besides, why the hell would Nintendo randomly place a fifth generation Pokémon in a fourth generation game guide book? You seem to be looking into this fifth generation thing a bit too much right now, my friend. There isn't really going to be any information on it as of now, seeing as HG/SS is almost released. They'll most likely release information on it soon after the English and/or European releases of HG/SS.
