I spent 2000 hours on Final Fantasy XIV

Topic title is anticipating some of the replies to this thread

So, what's the most amount of time you've spent on a single video game? Any regrets about how much time you've poured into the game...and do you still play it? Are you the kind of person who enjoys massive timesinks, shorter experiences, or a healthy mix to match your mood?

Actual recorded hours: CS:GO with about 2200 hours sank into it.

but pretty sure I have gone over that ammount with games such as C&C, the old Age of Empires. If I sank a ton of hours into a game there have never been regrets and I still play these games to this day, albeit in the case of AoE on a different platform than I used to before. Most of the time it's multiplayer games that are the massive timesinks for me.

Across the mulitple saves, we are definitely talking 4000+ on Disgaea.

Steam says 3556 hours on FFXIV. u_u No regrets and I still play it regularly, although now that I've achieved most of my goals in it, I've been leaving it for days at a time instead of sinking in 6+ hours per day lol. If they hadn't announced data centre travel for a couple months from now, I'd probably be playing it just as hardcore but levelling up alts on other DCs to play with friends, but I guess I won't have to. :P

Aside from MMOs which are infamously terrible time sinks, I think the most I've ever played a game would proobably have to be Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep? At least, if you count all its iterations. It is my comfort game so I go back to it pretty regularly. :>
