I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE ASH DIDN'T GET THAT HIPPOPATAS.

Nope, I can't. I really wanted him to get it back in Sinnoh. That really peeves me because Hippowdon would have been perfect for him. Just a feeling. What are things from the anime that bother you/are your pet peeves?

I wouldn't call it a pet peeve, but two things that bothered me were Ambipom and Gliscor's leavings.
Ambipom loved Contests and nothing but Contests, which was why Ash traded her to Dawn. She was perfect Pokémon for Dawn. But one day writers decided they want Ambipom go and made her interested in ping pong all of a sudden. Talk about out of character.
Gliscor's leaving wasn't totally out of character, but what bothers me is more what followed after with Gible. Leaving one fully evolved Pokémon for Pokémon who only served as comic relief is so wrong I can't grasp it even these days. The only thing that made it not the worst thing writers did (that title goes to Ambipom's leaving, IMO), was the fact Gliscor retuned for the League.

Like Horn, I hated how the writers handled Ambipom. The trade between her and Buizel made sense because one preferred battling and the other preferred contests, and their original trainers focused on the opposite goal.

Ambipom was such a cute member of the cast, and seeing her lose interests in contests to pursue ping-pong might have been a terrible excuse for the writers to remove her so they could add Cyndaquil and Togekiss to Dawn's team, who both came into the picture after Ambipom's departure. Ambipom was also one of two Pokemon owned by Dawn who never had any other members of their species appear besides the one owned by her, alongside Pachirisu.

My pet peeve of sorts is how Ash can never seem to catch a Dunsparce because something always has to get in the way and distract him from getting a chance at catching it. Let Ash have a Dunsparce!

I didn't like how Dawn got rid of Ambipom either. I was hoping she would bring her back for the grand festival.

Until Ash got Noibat, I was annoyed (and sad at the same time) when he released Goodra because that was his first ever fully evolved dragon type.

I don't like how all of Ash's male companions never get more than three Pokemon in their teams, except for Brock in Kanto and Johto.

One of the reasons I didn't enjoy the Unova league was the fact that Ash lost to a scatterbrain who thought that only five Pokemon were needed for a full battle and also thought that the UNOVA league would take place in Ecruteak City, Johto.

That deus ex machina was just outrageous! Not to forget Ash's choices for that battle included Oshawott and Snivy rather than say Leavanny and Krookodile which would have been far better options but of course that isn't what happened and Ash loses humiliatingly in my eyes.

Hippopotas had a herd it was travelling with though, right? Friends and family?

As for me, I'm still mad about Misty leaving.

He did, but I do remember Ash offering him to come with him, which still highly disappoints me for various reasons.

You know what also peeves me? The Jigglypuff just... disappearing. Granted that gag got old after awhile, but I'm still kind of upset how that Jigglypuff never showed up again after Johto or something. Would have been nice to at least see it again as a diva or something back in Kanto. I don't know this bothers me, it just does.

And no, the Jigglypuff in Rough Tough Jigglypuff is not the same one.

Jiggles Supreme had one last appearance in the Hoenn saga, when the twerps visited the Trick House.

And yeah, that makes me sad too. Loved old Jiggles Supreme. Shame Misty gave up on catching it so quickly.

Jigglypuff was a gag pokemon, of course it was never going to be captured. Also Misty largely stopped making captures after Orange Islands anyway. For the entire span of Johto she only captures a grand total of 1 pokemon, which was Corsola, and nothing else. We went an entire region with Misty only capturing a single pokemon, so its obvious why she didn't get many non-water types beyond Togepi.
