I think donators names also should have different color at here too

    Not only donators but also admins,mods and such stuffs.

    Can't say I've ever seen it elsewhere. But yeah, I don't really see a reason to do this. We have coloured names in the online lists, on our profiles, in recent visitors, above our posts, etc. I think it's neater to have them all the same colour in the forum indexes anyway; I could see it becoming an eye-sore really quickly.

    I've seen this on phpBB sites, but I don't see it as a necessity since it only on stuff like New Posts and Forums.
     
    Ok so here is how the VIP forum index looks with bold and italic names everywhere. I know I didn't change the name colours, or do it accurately, but yeah.

    Imo it's just not very neat this way.

    Agreed, I don't think it looks nice at all. :/
     
    I suppose it's technically possible but not only would it (I'm fairly certain) be extra calls to the database on every single page that had supporters on it (which would slow PC down even more) but I agree that I think it would get pretty cluttered. D: Even if it were just supporters and not staff, that's something I can see being a bit hard to read continuously depending on the style and everything.
     
    well it is your decision at the end but i think it is a pretty good thing to have :) for example i use it at my own forum. i don't think so it will bring lots of computational power but it might bring some extra dollars and some extra dollars means better server and better speed :D

    Just a question, how would it bring extra dollars?
     
    Why exactly would they donate just for this smaller feature - out of all the other perks Supporters get?

    The extra strain on our server for something that's just aesthetic doesn't seem like a reasonable trade off to me.

    Sometimes people are amused by the smallest of things; this suggestion included. So, maybe they would donate just so they could see that on their name? I don't know...

    Either way, I also don't see the point in this. :\

    Non supporters are not allowed to access the VIP forum. XD which means they won't be able to see that message.

    Honestly it's easy enough to recognize them by name if you spend a little time around the forum or read over the forum leaders page.
     
    I've seen it on other forums. It's a cool thing, I think. But I can clearly see several reasons for not to have it.

    One, does it really matter that much if a supporter or a normal member posted last? Like they said above, the names are already different in almost every other place.

    And two, it probably puts a lot more strain on the server.

    Heeeheeeeheeee.....YUSH! LET'S CHANGE THE SUPPORTER COLOR TO PINK! <3! I'd so love that.

    But alas, I agree with the naysayers as much as I hate to say it. It's cool yes when they do it, but I'm far too used to how it is now to give a damn. Give it enough time, you'll feel the same jadedness too. ;)
     
    All I can see that doing is draw more attention towards threads that staff members and supporters made. Which honestly might cause the suck ups of the forum to ignore threads by normal members.



    And I remember when we tried to make the supporter color pink a few years ago. That was a big huge fight because like 3 members didn't want their names to be pink because they are too manry and serious on this childrens Pokemon forum.

    I digress. I want a pink name.
     
    I'll do anything for a pink name.

    Anything.
