    Are there any characters you'd like to see return to the Pokemon anime for a few episodes for a visit?
     
    I would actually like to see Misty return to main cast for art very least one full season and if there happen to exist post Kalos league "filler saga" that would be perfect time to reintroduce her in anime again.

    I believe showing her ranking up from gym leader position to E4 member entering tournaments like Whirl Cup, battling other strong trainers, catching new pokemon (Clauncher, Swanna,Binnacle etc al, seem like cool choices) and looking for new ways in how to bring pokemon inner power on surface(like mega evolution of her pokemon like Gyarados making step forward in becoming recognized water expert like she always hoped for).

    Would hold alot of potential to deliver original and enjoyable story. Potential personality development too exploring her fear of bugs through pokemon like Surskit, searching for parents who abandoned her and sisters(according to Takeshi Shudo novelizations resulting in Misty developing lot of pent up aggression and frustration not only because of sisters but that factor as well likely in early days) and if she still feel same way about Ash now with Serena being put in picture.

    Not to mention i miss her flamboyant personality having lot of spunk, quirks and various sides to herself making her one of most vibrant, endearing characters in my opinion with maturity she went through in Hoenn bringing new interesting light doing balance between her tomboyish and playful, more caring side.

    By end of hypothetical Kalos post league saga i think it would be cool if she ended up as Lorelei or from Kalos series E4 Siebold(who is E4 of water pokemon) apprentice training to become stronger, ranking up as trainer. And actually showing on screen coming closer toward title of becoming water pokemon master.

    To me that seem like plausible way to tie up loose ends and infiltrate her within story for short while through sequel. Some sort of last hurrah for character. Going nicely in align with upcoming 20th anniversary of pokemon existence being fair to get some positive surprises.

    Because lets be realistic in here. Misty coming back for one to two episodes after 10 years of absence would be too little and degrading both for character unfinished plots and fans who waited for so long. At least in my opinion it would be.
    Especially when original pokemon girl never received justice with writers leaving so many things undefined about her future and story with no follow up.

    Being too great of character, too much emotionally explored and iconic to be reduced to nothing like its case nowadays.

    Hmm... Iris, is there any reason why you wanna see her return for a bit? I pretty sure, since she was the last girl to travel with Ash, it's very likely she might return!

    As for who I want to see return like I said in my opening post, Misty, most certainly. It's been a really long time since she's appeared on screen. With Pokemon's twenty anniversary coming up, however, I want to see more than just Misty to return. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I'd like to see Brock and Gary to come for a visit, too. Especially Gary since it's been a really long time since we've seen him, he's also Blue's counterpart in the games, so it'd make sense if he appeared for at least one episode, right? Maybe someday, I can dream.
     
    Really I would just like to see Dawn again, and possibly bring in Hilda from Pokemon BW. I never appreciated Dawn until recently and with Kalos being the Region of Style and Performances, I could see Dawn returning for a photo shoot with Buneary.

    I was never a big fan of Misty, and as far as I can tell, Tracey and Misty have something going on between them. As they always seem to be with each other when Ash returns. At least in the English version.
     
    I would rather see her for more than one episode.
    But you know, I would be as happy if I see Dawn, Brock or May :3
    And as much as I didn't liked Max, I wonder if he got is first Pokemon..

    Ofc I wanna see Misty too, but it's un likely to her to appear.
    I like Iris, she's fun. I don't understand why she havnt appeared yet...

    In all fairness regarding Misty, she's more likely to reappear than May or Dawn, especially when, unlike their Contest stuff, Misty actually CAN visit another region without being forced to put her current quest off (Kalos and Unova lack contests, obviously). Not to mention next year is the 20th Anniversary of the Anime, so assuming it doesn't get cancelled before then, they're most likely going to have Misty reappear there, if for no other reason than to ensure the original group is reunited for the 20th Anniversary. Heck, there's even some new merchandising for Misty being released right now (Anime Misty I should add) by G.E.M., and in her Kanto appearance, no less, and it's not even the 20th Anniversary of the Anime yet, so there's little doubt she'll be making an appearance (there's no real reason to create those things if she's NOT going to appear in the near future at all, let alone have a fairly major role.).

    As far as Iris, she's probably not going to reappear, not to mention I suspect the reason why she's not going to reappear has something to do with how they ended up wasted a character return on Dawn (who literally offered nothing new to the table with her return and literally lacked a reason to even BE in Unova in the first place, while May at least actually DID offer character development in the way of Dawn, and besides which got new evolutions, a new outfit, and actually had a decent excuse for her presence in Sinnoh, and Misty got a new outfit, revealed her Gyarados in the main series, evolved her Togetic, and actually had a reason to be present in Hoenn [aside from the fact that her sisters essentially forced her to postpone her goal]). Shame, really, because a character cameo actually would have been VERY appropriate for her in this case, unlike with Dawn.

    @Mawa: That's assuming they even bothered to age Max to a 10 year old. Remember, Ash basically was confirmed in Best Wishes to still be 10, and this is despite the strong implications of his having aged, even in Best Wishes.

    So far as the topic, yes, Misty definitely needs to return, and for a LOT longer than just a couple of episodes (try a whole season, like how they brought back Charizard). Quite frankly, they really should have brought her in during Best Wishes, especially regarding that World Conference thing. Would have killed two birds with one stone, in that it would actually advertise an element from Black 2 and White 2, and at the same time it actually would offer at least some closure to her goal of Water Pokémon Master rather than literally no closure at all.
     
    I would most definitely like to see Misty return for awhile, and do stuff with Ash. Another one I'd like to see reappear is Ritchie. I remember him and Ash being such good friends, and it's been forever since Ritchie last appeared.
     
    Well she could return to Ash in the last best wishes episode but no, she only apeared in that "all main characters dance" scene

    Funny, i had dreams that Misty travels to Sinnoh and "returns" some time after it, she also had an eeveelution - Glaceon, weird huh?

    Oh man, Ritchie would be great! I now want to see him return more than I want Misty and Brock and want to see them a lot!

    A couple others I thought of are Ash's main rivals, Gary and Paul, making a cameo or five at some point. We haven't seen them in awhile and they were so important to Ash's development as a trainer and as a person in their respective sagas, it wouldn't seem right for them not to be in a few episodes with the anniversary right around the corner.
