I watched the first series, and am watching B/W

    As the title says, I watched the first ever pokemon series all those years ago and have caught the odd episode in the years in between and have now decided to watch Black and White. I'd quite like to return and watch some of the older seasons though, to see what I've missed.

    So if you had to recommend me maybe one, two or three seasons to watch, which would it be? I really don't have the time to watch them all, so I need to prioritise.

    I left Pokemon for a few years but now back and watching BW since the beginning.

    Well I did watch Season 1 and season 2 (full) plus Orange isle saga

    I heard that The Johto series was not soo good since there were many filler episodes making it one of the longest regions in terms of seasons.

    So id probably say start from Hoenn
    though personally i went straight to D/P cause I don't really know the Pokemon that well since I only played the games up to Emerald.

    My suggestion Sinnoh onwards making it only about 2 seasons to catch up on.


    free time scramble through the Hoenn but theres soooooo much

    and then there Johto. :(
     
    I recommend the Hoenn and Sinnoh sagas. I don't think you should bother with Johto because it's long.
     
    I'll also say Hoenn. There was basically nothing wrong about it, while Johto didn't leave me with any lasting impressions, due to being full of boring fillers, and Sinnoh was just... Ughh, let's just say the last episode was my favorite because it meant Dawn and her Piplup would leave the main cast.
     
    Just continue watching Black & White. It seems by far the most interesting season yet.
     
    Yah Black and White is kind of like a reboot any ways, no matter what series you watch none of the characters or Pokemon I assume will be back in this one. At least your enjoying it though.
     
    I don't watch much of the anime...but from what I'm hearing, Hoenn seems to be the best.
