    what wild pokemon do you think would be near you in the wild.

    for example.. i live in Wyoming so probably like... sandshrew, cacturne, and lame stuff like that... then again it is in the mountains so maybe like.. zubat, riolu, machop, geodude... idk. anyway, ive always wondered what would be near where i live. what do you think would be near you. and what would you catch?
     
    Gyarados and other sea Pokemon would be everywhere, because I live in New England, 5 minutes from the beach.
    Although tall grass is rather rare around here.
     
    I live in B.C vancouver so there would be lotsa grass types and water types, and rock types, some normal types as well,and a few fighting types I would catch myself a Riolu, an Eevee, and a turtwig.
     
    Truthfully, I did think about this very same subject when I had to do a study on the local biome of my home town. Let's see... there would definitely be a lot of Pachirisu and Buneary, Stantler of course, Pikachu, Zigzagoon, Yanma, Spinarak, and a heck of a lot of Ekans. I'm sure there would be quite a few more, but it would take too long to list them all. If you live in the American Mid-west, you know of all the little creatures that love to live in close proximity to you.

    This was a pretty neat idea for a thread, Batman Symbol.
     
    Living in southern Nevada is a desert out here. So I'll see a lot of ground types which will make me have to catch a trapinch, which will evolve into a flygon. There are also mountains here so I'll try to look for an absol then catch it.

    Interesting replys so far.. id probably have to catch a riolu for sure, since im kinda in a big city i might find an eevee if im lucky. and there is a lake like... 20 minutes away so i'd probably go get some water type... something other then magikarp ;)

    I live in the English countryside, so probably your standard Grass-types; Bellsprout, Oddish etc, and most likely Rattata and Pidgeys (and their later counterparts), so I'd nab me an Oddish and a Pidgey, then her out looking for some others!
     
    My first Pokemon to catch would be a Krabby or something, then evolve it and go Gyarados hunting. =3
     
    i think the pokemon will be near me is bug pokemon because where i live have pretty much bushes and forest
     
    I live in texas and where i live there are big freilds so I know there would be a lot of feild pokemon like rattatata, ekans, starly, bidoof, and muuch more to name...
     
    Hmm... I think this thread is very interesting; guess I'll give it a try! ^^

    Since I live on a bit of a hill and near a pretty deep wood, I can guess at there being a lot of Ground and Grass types; probably most dominantly being the Oddish line, Roselia line, and a number of others; not including Bellsprout line, however. Tropius would also take a miss. As for Ground type, and even Normal types, we'd likely have a lot of rodent-like Pokemon scurrying around; including Ratatta, Pikachu, Sandshrew, and others, as well. Pachirisu would be pretty common, because we have a lot of squirrels around, and there'd also be a lot of horse-like Pokemon, as well as Cow and Sheep-like. (Ponyta, Camerupt and Mareep, respectively)

    There would definitely be Ledian and other such bugs, as well; probably including Spinarak, despite the spiders that live around here aren't venomous. Unfortunately, we also have a lot of bats, so Zubat and such would also be rather common.

    But the plus side would be that we have foxes; Vulpix and other such fox-like Pokemon would be rather abundant, so that would make me rather happy. ^^ Household pets, which would likely consist of cat-like Pokemon, would be rather common, as well, since there are a large number of cats where I live, and most likely dogs, like Houndour and Growlithe would be rather common, too.

    I'm going to be predictable and say that Eevee would be a common sight, as well. Because I'm a huge fan of Eevee and also situate Eevee as being a fox... or fox-like... XD

    As for Water types, there would be no end to Magikarps, since there is quite a bit of shallow water, shich tends to be a common thing for Magikarp to thrive in, but there would also likely be other water creatures, like Surskit, and such. Butterfly and Moth-like Pokemon would also be rather common; especially around the warmer seasons... and unfortunately, Beedrill would probably be rather common... ._.

    That's about all I can really think of, at the moment, though. I live inland, so there wouldn't be that many Water types around, however, there is a river, not too far from where I live; there would no doubt be a greater number of Water type Pokemon, in there; (Goldeen and such) not to mention ducks. (Psyduck, Golduck)

    Hmm... that's about all I can think about, right now.
     
    Well, I live in a smallish city, so I doubt there'd be anything too large. Probably Pokémon like Pachirisu, Tailow, Pidgey, Starly, Spearow, HootHoot, Rattata, Pokémon along those lines. Everywhere around here is slightly developed, but there's still waaay more trees and foliage then buildings. In some of the parks there might be larger things like Ekans and Stantler, but for the most part it'd probably be smaller Pokémon :>~
     
    Colorado Pokemon would actually be rather various...

    The Rocky Mountains wouold most likely be home to the following and their relatives (Evolutions); Ekans, Sandshrew, Pidgey, Spearow, Machop, Geodude, Onix, diglett, etc

    The plains would have the basics; Ratatta, Pidgey, etc
     
    Well... the other day I went fishing and caught a carp. I guess Magikarp could be found hereabouts... perhaps also Gyarados in lake Ontario. Lot's of Bug/Rock/Grass types around the city. And ofcourse, all of the usual urbanite pokemon that could be found downtown: Grimer, Voltorb, Eevee, etc.
     
    If Pokemon were real... We could eat fried Torchic! lol
    Nah... Just JK...
    I would like to keep a Skitty and Glameow as housepet. And Houndour to guard my house. Or keep a Pidgeot to fly everywhere I want to go to...

    The neighborhood:

    Growlithe/Houndour/Poochyena (dogs)
    Meowth/Skitty/Glameow (cats)
    Starly/Pidgey/Taillow (wild birds)
    Murkrow (crows)
    Oddish/Bellsprout/Budew (plants)

    In town:

    Vileplume/Roselia/Sunflora (gardens in town)
    Meowth/Skitty/Glameow (stray)
    Starly/Pidgey/Taillow (wild birds)
    Beautifly/Butterfree (butterflies)
    Pidgeotto/Swellow/Staravia (hawks)
    Murkrow (crows)

    On the university campus:

    Arcanine (guiding the blind students)
    Bulbasaur/Treecko/Chikorita/Turtwig (romping in the grass)
    Pikachu
    Parchirisu (squirrels)
    Murkrows (crows)
    Charmander/Torchic/Chimchar (only on very hot days)
    Piplup/Squirtle/Mudkip (playing in the fountains)

    As for Legendaries, Zapdos would come a lot to bring rain; and Articuno would sometimes come in the winter (for blizzards/ice storms)
     
    I live in a city, so lots of flying types, all sorts of bugs and birds, and because we have so many parks here where I live, I think we could have some normal types, too. You know, Bidoof, Buneary, Rattata and other little critters. Maybe even Shinx and/or Pichu, and of course a rare sighting of Ditto!

    And then, there's the sea, where a lot of water types would live. Not necessarily Magicarps, I think water/ground types would fit our beloved Baltic sea better. Or some plain-looking fish Pokémon that doesn't evolve into an awesome dragon-snake hybrid...

    And when the winter comes, birds and bugs would move to south and ice types would come flocking in. Froslass, Snorunt, Mamoswine and who knows what would be roaming the ice that covers the sea during winter... That would be rather scary, actually :D
