If you knew everyone's biggest secret...

I'd use it for evil, sadly. Another reason why I shouldn't have any power like that. 8D
 
I'd probably use it 24-7 everywhere. At school, at home, in the bathr-.... woah scratch that, anywhere and everywhere but there. O.o
Um... I might use it for some personal gain, but I'd try and focus on using it for good, help a couple people out, my friends, family. And maybe, just maybe, a little bit of blackmail. But hey, who isn't tempted by the darkside? They has cookies...

I don't think I'd use it at all. Well, okay, I probably would at first but then realize that there are a lot of things I really don't want to know about people and there's a reason they keep those things secret. (Either because they aren't ready for others to know or it's embarrassing/silly and there's no reason for others to know.)

Though maybe I'd use it on random people just for kicks, if only because I could care less about the secrets of strangers.
 
I think I'd only use it if it was something important, or at least I'd like to think that's the only time I'd use it.
For people close to me, I might use it more often, but only if I thought it was necessary, like if I thought a boy was cheating on me, or if one of my friends seemed depressed or something - so that I could sort things out easier without having to worry about being unsure about things. It would be a cool power though :3
 
If, by chance, we could accurately control this power and use it whenever we see fit (Harry Potter couldn't control his powers at first..) I would probably use it. Not for pointless little things like discovering what my Christmas gifts are going to be, but for things that are important to me, like if a boyfriend wasn't being faithful or something along those lines.

I'd also definitely use it to help out the police.. but only if I got paid for it. ;)
 
I would do it to get things I want and probably to manipulate people. Also, probably hold it against them if they ticked me off.
 
I'd be using it all the time. It'd be pretty hard not to.


Now here's the real question, will you be willing to use that information? Where it helps, I probably would, otherwise I'd likely use it sparingly. But just having that knowledge would completely change how I handle a situation whether I use the info or not.
 
I'd probably use a secret against someone that I really disliked..

Although even then, I would have to really think about it. xD;

That said, I wouldn't ever use a secret from a friend against them.

That's a good idea you have there. Almost reminded me of that vampire, whatshisname, edward cullen ey. I would probably use it on boring days when I would read secrets of passers-by and its a good reason to roll on the floor laughing. It'll just be for fun and games. Unless...
I came across a politician's mind. Cops!! Agencies! LOL

Have best friend join a forum I frequent on without either of us knowing the other of us is on it. He starts posting, thinking he's more or less anonymous, about his crazy love life and how he cheats on his girlfriend whenever he gets the chance. Girlfriend is one of my best friends.

Discover secret power, find out he's on the forum. Presented with a massive moral decision; tell his girlfriend or send him threatening PMs.

I don't want this power; I wouldn't want to use it. Some secrets are pointless and everybody should know what's going on; others should remain secrets.
 
I'd feel really weird about using it for anything. I mean I wouldn't want anyone nosing into my secrets, so why should I nose into anyone else's?

I'd only want to use it with the permission of whoever I was going to look into (say, they maybe say that they want to tell their secret or hidden feelings to me but don't have a way to express it well, or feel embarrassed about saying it). Whether or not I'd end up abusing it I don't know, that's one seriously powerful power. I mean if I got suspicious about someone keeping a secret that was going to hurt a lot of people I'd be really struggling to restrain myself, but even in that situation I don't think it's right.
 
On one hand, having that kind of power honestly frightens me. I don't want to see the inner depths of anyone's mind. It's a serious invasion of privacy. On the other hand, it'd give me amazing power over people...

For now, I'd say I'd probably look a few times, out of curiosity, but I'd be too scared to actually do something about it. It's kind of a hard question to answer; that's a major power, and although I'm usually not powerhungry, for something like this, I just might go over the edge. Sadly. :/
 
I actually think it'd be cool to know some peoples biggest secrets. As long as they didn't know mine haha.
