    Hi Melinda (that's your name isn't it) and welcome!

    PC is one of the most active Pokemon communities out there so you definitely know how fun the forum is. We have topics ranging from all aspects of Pokemon to even the off-topic stuff. PC also has a very diverse memberbase, we get peeps from all over the world. Like for example, I'm from Australia which is very different to you being in the US. PC is like one big happy family so you'll fit in well.

    I think a good section to start with would be Pokemon Clubs which has some really fun topics and joining clubs can be a good way to make new friends. I do advise you read the rules so you don't get into trouble, and also remember that the staff members can always help you if you have a question, like Cirno who mods this very section. If you need a new friend I'm always happy to take you on, just pop by and VM me anytime! I do hope to see you around PC.

    Yep, I too have been a trainer for many years :D and I can remember the first day in becoming one, and that was with Pokémon Gold and my Game Boy Color. Okay enough with the nostalgia... Just thought I'd personally welcome you to the forums! ^^

    Anyways, as a reminder, please do indeed look over the rules as Nichole said, since we don't like seeing new members getting into trouble and getting infractions :( but I'm sure you'll follow them :D

    Also, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate in asking anyone on staff around here (with the bold usernames), and they'd be glad to help you at any time! :)

    I have gone over the rules :) i think my first pokemon adventure was gameboy advance sp leaf green. my all time favorite pokemon is charzard though ;) and yes my real name is Melinda.

    Glad to hear you'll be checking out our awesome clubs. There is a whole lot to do there and it's an awesome way to meet people with similar interests. I run a club there myself dedicated to the adorable electric mice/rodent Pokemon, so I'd love to have you there if you're interested. You can also dig through the Fan Clubs & Groups board.. this is the non-Pokemon equivalent club board we have here on PokeCommunity. By the way.. are you interested in X and Y?! You can try out the wonderful Pokemon X & Pokemon Y board if so, a lot of people are joining the forum nowadays to get involved in the discussion over there. Speculation and discussion on recent news are some of the many things you can chat about there and any new faces are always welcome. :)

    LeafGreen was one of my favorite games, I swear the VS Seeker was the best item ever available. Have you been playing Pokemon since FR/LG or did you try out the earlier games like Crystal? I've been following the games since Red and Blue but X and Y are looking to be really awesome, probably the best main series games we've ever gotten. Charizard's also pretty cool and from what I remember Charmander was my first starter in the games.. but nowadays we keep getting such cool starters that it's hard to even pick a favorite.

    I'll try not to boggle you down too much though, baha. :D; I just hope we can all become great friends and you end up sticking around for a long time.     Ah FireRed and LeafGreen were such good games. My first game was the original Red on Gameboy and playing those games were really nostalgic for me. Since you started with the GBA games you might like Advanced Generation Gaming . But of course there's many other boards here for all sorts of Pokemon gaming too so take a look around. I really like Charizard myself and while it's not my favorite, it's close to my heart cause I think if I remember right, Charmander was my first starter. You should definitely join a few clubs! I own a Dark type club here and it's always fun seeing people get involved in the topics we have. There's many clubs in Pokemon Clubs and Fan Clubs & Groups for people with the same interests.

    I have the same question as Cirno, are you interested in X and Y? I am personally cause the games look pretty spectacular. The Pokemon X & Pokemon Y board is where you can talk about and learn about them if you haven't heard of them yet. There's many people there who are speculating and discussing the news and chatting about them and other games are a great way to meet new people. Meeting people here isn't really hard though cause people are really nice. If you ever need anyone to talk to you can VM (visitor's message) me anytime! :)

    Hey thanks guys :). I did play crystal GBA Pokemon game also. I am very interested in Pokemon X and Y ;). I pre-ordered it as soon as it was available for pre-order. I pre-ordered Pokemon X. I will be getting my younger brother Pokemon Y for Christmas so he can enjoy it also.
