Yeah, a lot of them ignore you if you have the slightest new in you. I never could get really any battles there. People are cooler here.

I'm also thinking about totally doing away with personal battle threads and keeping the main section for gyms/tournaments only. A lot of them don't even get replies and people could just as easily use the Quick Battle Thread. Thoughts?

A newly submitted thread is not immediately visible to members until a moderator has approved the thread. If a moderator disapproves of a newly submitted thread, then said rejected thread will simply never publicy open. It goes bye bye.

What others may believe that scrapping the ENTIRE Forum being better for the battle stadium we have now, to me, is a somewhat bad idea, due to the fact that there are leagues such as Four Seasons which is continually growing, and may have become one of the best things that have ever happened to the PC Battle Stadium in a good amount of time.

Forum wipe =/= all current threads destroyed.

Active league/tournament organizers will have time to copy their opening posts and resubmit their league/tournament. Four Seasons, etc, can still be around if the owner is dedicated.

One thing I've noticed is the number of newbies who come in, get crushed easily by someone more experienced, then don't really come back cause' they are discouraged. I think we lose like 70% of new people becasue of that. Perhaps there could be a seperate area for newbies to generally get practice and ideas (no, I don't mean strategies and movesets,) and place for noobs vs. noobs, essentially.

S&M struggled with having enough active tutors.

With Stadium in shambles and with pitiful activity, how will a "separate" practice/tutor area have active contributors?


Youtube videos should belong in the Daily Chit Chat... Use that to boost enthusiasm. Activity depends on member devotion, too.

Battle Factory

Well, it will give the Gym Leader options to use a theme of any sort they would like (i.e. monotype, a specific tier, the entire team has a high Speed stat, etc) and they can always change it if they get tired of it. Furthermore, it will be active since the entire forum will be contributing towards it due to being the only league. And we could finally have a Battle Frontier with a factory theme possibly, etc. Basically, it will be creative if members choose it to be creative.

Also, there will still be other leagues being made later on (or even keep the current leagues?), they will just have to be able to distinguish itself from the main league.

I think that maybe instead of something that is sorta the same as the gyms (battle tower for example) we create a sort of potluck battle semi simlar to the battle factory such as one where someone you and your opponent don't know (in order to eliminate any preference between battlers) picks your team from a long list of precomposed teams submitted by any players interested then a good player (moderator or someone picked or of course it could be a group of people) edit them so only the good teams remain then that is the final list that gets picked from. I think this would be good because it tests a players ingenuity beyond that which you would be tested by a battle factory as instead of picking your own individual pokemon or even your team from a list you have to work with a team you only just (right before the battle to make it fair as far as knowledge of the team goes) learned what team you will be using and if anyone likes the idea say so improve it the same if you don't like it.


Sorry every one hadn't heard that there was already a plan for something like this and for reference you only replace one of the facilities or you could just add it on without taking anything away????

i agree with crimosn about the xat chat thing. i find it more enjoyable. obviously we will need to ensure that it is on topic. itd make it easier to organise battles.plus most people have gone to college an stuff. all the people i know anyway. so less battlers.

I wasn't saying, "OH EM GEE UZE SHAWDY! ITS TEH BESTEST!!!" I was mereley suggesting that if you need to organise a battle really quick or organise meeting times, just hop on really quick, talk to the dude, and log off. I mean, we basically only use it for chatting anway lol.
