We've all encountered them, right? Certain levels or bosses in certain games that you just can't do, no matter how much you try?

I suppose one of my own examples would be in Sonic Adventure, when playing as Big the Cat:
    Froggy. Won't. Bite.

Discuss those disastruous levels and how you either gave up or finally defeated them here! ^_^

    xX

There was only one video game that had an impossible level for me, it was this scooby doo game on my old PS1. You had to jump a ledge to get to the other side with shaggy and I never could jump it.

Quick Man's level in Mega Man 2 is impossible for me. Those beams are *ANNOYING*.
I still can't get past it.

Emperors new groove game. (Ignore my spelling, I cba to spell correctly)

The bit where you have to press spam x so you can run away from the panthers. I did it once, and my sister saved over my game file.

    Resident Evil 5

The very last level where you have to pull yourself up the ledge as Sheva, and you have to mash x. I but my controller on turbo and it still didn't work. I forgot how I did it in the end.

That one level where you have to destroy the mortar pits on CoD5 on Veteran.
When you go into the underground section, you got like, 20 Japanese soldiers inside, and stepping one foot inside gets you killed.

    Luigi's Mansion
There was a mission when I was supposed to find an old man in a mirror somewhere and I swear I checked every freaking mirror in the game and never found him. I never got past it so I just ended up selling the game, loved it dearly but I got frustrated.

Thank you, I'm now not going to sleep while I hear Casinopolis in the background of my mind.

The level in Super Mario World's Special World where you had to be balloonized the majority of the level, and the annoying jock guys are trying to throw baseballs at you to kill you, and you have very little room for error. When I was a kid, I wasted countless lives on that place...>:|

Most of that world's levels were hard, though. :|

    See here. >:|

Oh? Does this officially mean that I'm not the only one?

I loved that game, but that mission was impossible!

And I thought I was the only one that couldn't get past that level :0 I actually took that game to game stop and told them it had an error and they said "Ok, would you like to sell it?" and they offered to give me 15 bucks, rip off.

For me, I found the last boss battle in FF7 against Sephiroth was the most Frustrating and Impossible. After about a week of trying and training for it I finally beat him. "Thank you lord." Every other game I played was easy compared to FF7. (IMO)

World 8-2 in Super Mario Bros. I swear, that's the only level I STILL have problems on. I can breeze through the game, and even beat 8-3, and 8-4. But I swear, I start screwing up royally on 8-2 for one reason or another sweeties. XD

    Oh, and Battletoads, nuff' said.

First mission in the 'Shadow Tong' case in True Crime: NYC, you have to dump two full clips into the people on the motorcycles, nevermind the Chargers and stolen cop cars.

I had to Gameshark it. That. Is. How. Hard. It. Was.

8-3 for me. I think. The Hammer Bros. in that stage are brutal.

then nvr go after ruby or emerald weapon still have nightmares of those -shudders-

Ironically, many games regard that level as the easiest of all World 8 (me included).

The worst Hammer Bros. in the world is the one in the end of Bowser's Castle XD

I loved TCNYC, it's so cool how you could be a gangster cop xD

That level didn't seem pretty hard to me though, it took me maybe six times to figure it out.

Rusty Bucket Bay in Banjo-Kazooie... Ergh... (EDIT: Actually, on X-Box Live Arcade version, seems easier, especially the notes. Now, changed to Click Clock Wood for the annoying Birds that pop out of the hole!)

Actually, I saw that Banjo Kazooie Nuts 'n' Bolts was mentioned. One of the Gruntilda battles (the Terrarium of Terror one, I think), I have problems there.

The first one of that Hotel in Super Mario Sunshine... I hate those Manta Rays... Took ages. Can do it reasonably well now.
