Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 2

Perhaps Internet Explorer 7, which has more than taken up the slack from the previous version as Jake has shown us. On my computer, however, Firefox runs better. :/

I totally don't like Firefox on Mac OS X , it still looks Un-Mac like... and it's totally slower than Safari, Shiira, and Camino and also have alot of totally annoying Fanboys and Fangirls. ^^;

and it still haven't pass Acid2 yet... while most of the browers except IE7 and Mozilla have passed it. I also perfer Inquisitor plugin for Safari since it totally have a spotlight like function and SafariStand plugin because it totally have thumbtails for tabs... =p

I will still use Opera 9 on Windows because it's totally fast and uses less memory than Firefox and 9.1 will have Phishing Filter and most the features are like already built in without using extensions. =p

I find it funny that when I first got FF there was no bigger FireFox supporter then Alyssa. XD

I just DLed IE7. It looks good, and the tabs are a plus for IE. But I think they're a step behind FireFox, and I love FF and I'm used to it so I like FF2 better.

I havent tried IE7 yet only because I dont really want it on my computer after IE6 gave me all sorts of trouble. I like Firefox better and I downloaded FF2 the other day.

My dad downloaded FF2 and didn't like it in Linux. Although he mostly uses Opera.
I'm considering giving it a go. I definitely WON'T touch IE7 though.

FF all the way,I hate IE with a passion><..It is to slow for my liking,But I haven't used IE 7.0 yet,I will check it out when I get the time but 2.0 is my best and I will always like FF better.

Firefox, that's definitely my choice. I am with it from version 0.9 and I won't go on IE7. I won't touch IE7, because I know IE from version 5.5 (my first meeting with internet :) ) and I wasn't very happy when trojans and viruses flew into my computer. Even my mum likes FF more.

P.S.: Who likes the old 1.5 FF theme more than 2.0, try to search at addons.mozilla.org for a theme called Winestripe (not Winstripe).

Offtopic Halloween phrase: Boo!

I have both on my work computer, IE7 is cute and better in rare situations such as with Java, but overall Firefox 2 blows it outta the water without giving it a chance to respond.

I totally used firefox only about 1 year, since 2004. I totally switched to Opera 8.5 when it became free because it uses less memory, faster, and it already have all the features that Firefox 1.07 had at the time. I never came back to Firefox because 1.5 is notorious for it's high memory usage for it's history feature.

Opera 9 is better, since it like totally more standards complient, and pass acid2. Once I switched to a Mac, I used Safari, because it's totally faster, but I still use Opera once in a while. Firefox have horrible Mac OS X support and still does =(.

Also, I like totally switched from Firefox because theres like totally so much annoying fanboys/fangirls. o.O

Firefox still owns me, although I have Opera 9 and Internet Explorer 7 also.

Eh, IE7 was nice, but when I found out it was basically written on IE6 code...tears welled up. From the technical side, it's supposed to be almost as vulnerable as its predecessor. Disappointing. The fact that it's not skinable, and that they allow developers to put prices on extensions makes it pretty much suck even worse. OPEN SOURCE FTW!

Opera loads slower than Firefox on my laptop, not to mention I love using the middle click button to open links in new tabs, and Opera takes an extra 3 seconds to initiate the load on the new tabs that pop up. Annoying.

With the new skin, Firefox definitely takes the cake. Not to mention I love the spell checking for blogging <3

Firefox 2.

Only for the CTRL+T (I dunno how to say that in English, someone can tell me??) and Pop-up blocking I prefer Firefox.

Control Tea. Lol that looked weird. :p Does that still open Tabs in FF2 and you can close with Ctrl + W. If so, I'll be fine if I had it. :p

IE7 was a needed update, but Firefox still owns IE hands down. Personally, I couldn't browse without FF's extensions(greasemonkey anyone?), but lots of work was also put into IE, and I think the new version is finally honorable as a browser for average users.

If more work gets put into IE, I might even see myself using it when I make the full transition to Vista.

I mean Tabs, thank you :D

Yeah, that's it. I prefer Firefox because of the Pop-up Blocker and Tabs :D

Which IE7 obtained, lest you should be aware.

Are you aware Internet Explorer 7's had this since the beta?

Are you aware Firefox's had this long before IE7?

Pricing on addons means there's no open-source dev teams that work competitively. People can just mull out half arsed "addons" to try and get some extra cash.

Yeah, that'd pretty much encompass regular users.

Although, to us who know something about browsers, that's like taking Windows AS IS, and just wanting to use it as a "computer" and not something to add software to.

Which is absolutely crazy. Sure, it would work for your basic needs...but beyond that? Doesn't really cut it.
