So, in X and Y Blaziken, Absol, Gardevoir and Mawile were the only things that had a released Mega.
However, shortly after, we have seen that Latios and Latias will get added. And, to my understanding a Mega-Swampert was previewed in Japan. Don't quote me on that.

I feel like Blaziken was almost a sneak peak to the other starters and I'm pretty excited about that.
Do you think that this kind of confirms a remake? Why or Why not?

If there is one, what Hoenn Pokemon would you like to see get mega evolutions, and what would you like to see more of as far as story line or new additions?

    Confirmed? No. Obviously not.

Strongly hinted at? I'd say yes. And note that while I like the idea of Hoenn remakes AND have long argued that GameFreak will almost certainly do them sooner or later (if for no other reason than that they're pretty much certain to be profitable), I've never before bought into any of the hints other remake supporters have bandwagoned on over the years.

But this latest round of hints appear to me to be legitimate, and to be a bit beyond anything that could be written off to coincidence.

    Only time will tell though...

    Sableye, Sableye, Sableye!

If for no other reason than to be symmetrical with Mawile again, but it doesn't hurt that it's easily my favorite GenIII pokémon and a pokémon who's in dire need of a big competitive boost. XD

    Toxic-Recover-Substitute-Confuse Ray-Prankster

why does it need a boost again?

Stats, maybe. And other Pokémon getting so many boosts lately, it won't be soon when Sableye gets underused. Stuff like Infiltrator are starting to come up that breaks the substitute, and many new priority moves. A mega evolution would be awesome, truly.

50/75/65 defenses are incredibly shaky, even with good investment. In addition, it's not that hard to get around that strategy with infiltator, or a strong priority attack.

Sableye is OU as a tank... But maybe it's Mega could make it Offensive? Something that can take full advantage of STAB Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak.

    Return to Hoenn? Awesome.

    Re-run of Team Magma? BORING

    New Story please.

No, a Hoenn remake has not been confirmed as of yet. As a fan, I would love to see a remake of the games, but I would like to see an entirely new Pokemon game (like Pokemon Z) even more. Some hints revealed were:

    Spoiler:

Each of these screens refer back to the Hoenn region. Maybe GameFreak is teasing us of a remake or maybe they're egging us on to reveal nothing. While it would be cool to see a remake, nothing has been set in stone as of yet. Personally, I think that GameFreak should be working on bigger projects than a remake.

As for Sableye, he really hasn't changed much for Generation 6. Imo he's received a small boost but is still the Prankster, annoying Pokemon we all know and tend to hate (or love if he's on your team). He seems a bit more bulky in Generation 6 OU.

Just got confirmed today! So go celebrate in its new section on the forum! Partaaay~!

    Locked.
