Do you think pokemon is dying out? It seems there are a lot fewer then before. What do you think?

You know, it's really hard to tell. There's always a bunch that says it isn't, and a bunch that says it is. It all depends upon how many people keep their hobbies and likings going. I mean, they wouldn't have built all these Pokemon Centers if it wasn't popular anymore--let alone raking in the money to build these stores recently. It may not be outwardly blatant and vivid as all fads, like Pokemon, usually start out as; but, I think it's still out there. We still have a huge selection of members here at The PokeCommunity...and more joining everyday. So I'm guessing Pokemon's going at a gradual, slow pace and still has tons of fans. Otherwise, it wouldn't stand a chance in America. Things may not be in the "lime-light," but it doesn't mean it's not popular. I agree that it has faded a great deal, although I do think people still like it. ^_^

In my opinion, no. Pokemon is not dying out. ^_^; There are still a million fans out there, who make Pokemon go strong. Why some PokemonFans might even make PokemonHaters like Pokemon. Like me?

I say no. I mean I know it's not like it once was but everything will have it's high point and that will be it. But just look at the game sells when a new Pokemon game comes out. Or 4Ever made it to the 11th highest money making movie for a week or two. And it was showing no where but it still made 11th. Pokemon will never get back to where it once was where you can go to a store and see kids all over the place with cards in there hands or a Pokemon game in there hand or a Pokemon shirt. I still see it but it is rare. But Pokemon is not dead.

Pokemon's not dead but definatley not what it was before. There are people like us that still do like pokemon. The games and other stuff are still making lots of money. I even got bored of pokemon a couple years ago but then I started to get interested in it again after R/S came out. All I can say is that it's not dead at all yet... but it reached it's peak a few years ago...

Pokemon is defenitely not fading out, (it was the #1 kids TV show last I checked!) and then again, it's not at it's prime. That was a few years ago. All in all, the pokemon phenomenon is not over yet!

I'd say yes...well in america anyways pokemon is dying out but in places like france of japan pokemon is still number one.

Youre are right pokemon isnt dead but it could go anytime*sigh*.......... Well i guess nothing does last forever, but lets keep it alive while we can. But it is really dying in America.

I don't believe that it's dying out. Like most people here said, it isn't as popular as it was when it first came out, but it's definately still here. The other day I saw a boy wearing a Pikachu shirt, they had neat Pok?mon-related things at the Target caf? (Inside the store) last time I went, the TV show is supposedly ranked as the or one of the most watch children's shows, I read that several companies will be releasing a LOT of Pok?mon merchandise in 2004, etc. I could go on, but I'll shut up now!

The point is, it's not dead! IT'S ALIIIVVEE!!!!! O_o *runs off while her hair sticks up like Dr. Frankenstien's*

The show's not just popular with little kids...*watches pokemon*

    A biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggg NO.
I know a lot of people like pokemon.
They just hide it so other people that hate pokemon won't make fun of them.

Believe me....I know who likes them and who doesn't. It's the way the respond when I ask them if they like pokemon.

I think pokemon is going down the hill of popularity, but its a big hill and pokemon will take its time rolling down!

I said Yes, They so repeats of the anime. The only time they show new episodes is when they feel like it.And the mini-moves are not shown in theaters which is stupid. And the trading cards are not even sold where I live. You would have to go very far where I live to see someone that actually likes Pokemon.I had to travel 40 miles just to get Pokemon Colosseum. And the nearest movie theaters playing still playing Pokemon movies is like 3 counties alway.

There Are Two Reasons People Think Its Fading.
    1. The People That Followed Trends Such As Digimon And Pokemon Moved On And Left Pokemon Along Time Ago There Are A TON Of People Like This And Thats Why It SEEMS Like Its Fading
    2. Most Pokelovers Were Young When They Liked It And Grew Out Of It Me I Will Never Stop Liking Pokemon

Here are A Few Reasons Why It Has Not Faded yet
1.Young Kids Love It We are Losing Fans But Gaining Even More
2.Pokemon Games Are More Tactical Then They Used To Be Giving Old Poke Lovers a Good Game Based On What They Used To Love

Most People Think Its Fading It Never really Did Its Just That all Those Stupid Trend Setters Left Us Bascily all The REAL Pokefans Are Here and they Have Been For Most Of Pokemons History

I Vote Its Never Faded Its Still Going Strong.

The only reason PKMN is fading is because other animes copied it and people like them more. But i like pokemon more than them

Well If You Make Something Like This Some One Is Bound To Say Yes.
