IS RED IN POKEMON SUN AND MOON?!!

    hey guys when i saw the pokemon sun and moon trailer i caught a pic that showed the first gameplay in pokemon sun and moon! but i saw something that made me think that these games could not be a gen 7 game!! here :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2dsE6dPfkk this is not self advertise i saw the video and im shocked! please look and share so other poeple can see!!
     
    I always expected the two trainers in the hotel pic to be placeholder concept art characters.
     
    The design of the male in that pic does remind me of Red, but I wouldn't safely assume that is him yet since we still haven't had actual gameplay shown yet.
     
    Although it's just concept art it does make sense him making an appearance in the game, with Sun and Moon being the 20th anniversary games and everything.
     
    Well, it could just be a costume for the player character. If Sun and Moon bring back player customisation - which I really hope they do - considering these will be released in the 20th Anniversary year I wouldn't put it past them to include costumes of past characters. I wouldn't jump the gun and say it's an indicator that Red is in the game...it might even just be a placeholder character - after all, the girl in that pic looks a bit like Caitlin to me, but I doubt she'll be in the game - for concept art.

    Would I want Red in the game? I dunno. I think it'd be cool if you could upload your player data from Red/Blue/Yellow as a battleable character or even as your avatar, or if you could unlock a Red costume by having save data on the 3DS or something, but...eh, Red never really struck me as a particularly memorable character. He wouldn't be amongst my top choices for cameos.
     
    The hat is clearly some fedora-type hat, Red wears a more baseball style cap :( As much as I want Red to be in this game (not saying he is or isn't btw) this isn't proof of it by any means.
     
    It looks to feminine to be Red if you ask me. And like what Altius said, it could easily be a placeholder.
     
    G/S/C was great in part because almost all of the main characters talked in ellipses. They shouldn't try to reprise that unless they're going all the way.

    That said, while it is possible, if Oak also shows up, then it might come to resemble a bit of a G/S re-make. I'm not sure if they want to go as far as making a character from previous games something as major as the protagonist, unless they went down a Sonic route and allowed for multiple protagonist models, in which case the game would have to reflect this.
     
    Forget Red! How cute is that Horsea fountain!?

    I wouldn't put too much thought into this, but it's definitely possible in a 20th anniversary game. Hopefully the PWT will return and play a larger role in the game.

    Red appearing in a game released in the 20th anniversary year? That could be a possibility since he was the first main character and it'd be a nice way to honour him.
     
    The male protagonist in the concept art could be a Red expy, so I'm expecting the rival to be a Blue expy. Also, that girl in the concept art looks more like an NPC than a female protagonist.

    Looks at the series of pics on the left. The top right one, has a completely different look for the male trainer. So I don't think it'red. Just customization.
     
    I hope not, I'm tired of this exhausting craze of recycling characters over and over and over again (well, don't expect much originality after 20 years...).

    I hope these games have a PWT of some sort. (But, with E4 members, too, please!) The ability to customize the player characters to look like any of the past ones would also be pretty nice.
