I don't, just read the series i like online. If you read a lot of the series it might be worth it, completely depends on if you want it or not though.

Anime goods not online, i guess you can pick up manga and box sets in big chain shops, you'll have to google to find independent/local anime retailers though.

Enma Kun is awesome, its enjoyment value utterly eclipses anything else this season. Why aren't more people watching this?

Shounen is a demographic; so people just think stuff like DBZ, Naruto, Bleach, etc. (never ending shows where friendship gives you power) is what all shounen is like

No, no that's what Jump actually defines it as ^^;; and I already know that Shonen is a target audience anyways. Whether an anime or manga is shonen is generally determined on the time slot or which magazine the manga is run in, and by that, i mean what magazine it's run in.

Anybody subscribe to the weekly Shounen Jump magazines? Wondering if it's worth the money.

Also, where do you guys usually buy your anime goods? Other than from the internet.

Also, it's generally not worth subscribing to shonen jump unless you REALLY like the manga and/or want to collect it.

And as far as anime goods, I go to cons. As far as internet places, Yahoo Auctions Japan, Hobby Search, Hobbylink Japan, and technically J-List (though I personally think they overestimate shipping costs)

oh great I missed the TWGOK discussion, bawww.

I'd definitely subscribe to SJ if I could (the monthly, that is). I don't think there's an option for that in NZ though, so I'm stuck buying one each month for exorbitant prices and then getting all panicky when I miss one. I so would subscribe if possible, though. Really enjoying Bleach, kinda liking Naruto & One Piece, loving Psyren and loving the free rare Yu-Gi-Oh cards in, like, every other issue, of course. I mean, I can't summon my Malefic Truth Dragon or Malefic Stardust Dragon, but goddamn they are shiny and beautiful.

I want the Winged Dragon of Ra from this January, though. :/

I read Monthly Shonen Jump...

From the Library. I do enjoy it, reading older chapters of One Piece in the best quality physically possible is nice. n_n

I do occasionally read the Bleach and Naruto. I regret it every time. :(

I'm going to check out my library, who knows they might have a few of the bigger series volumes in, although i believe the manga collection has to be read in and not taken home. Probably going marathon some OP chapters this evening, only 521 to go. :L

The mangas in our library is all in Chinese. Gah. And chinese translated manga are also cheaper (about 6$ - 9$!! while it's 17$ for english) and also more current. (They have Saki and Bakuman here!!)

Alos, I just watched Jesus the anime...

Jesus the anime?
Spoiler:

I'm really going to have to cut down a little this season, I only just caught up and i've already got 6 new episodes to watch. Deadman Wonderland is out though. *cool sunglasses face*

I'm pretty sure I won't have time over the summer to watch that much anime, I'll be able to read manga because I can buy the books, but sitting by the computer and watching, not so much. ;;

My animu/mango/general pc usage goes down in the summer, pretty much because of the heat. Meh, this season is the best season in a long time so i'll live with the massive watching list.

Jesus the anime was very gory. Like the bible. A faithful adaptation. Check it out in Japanator.

I love how there's tons of good show this season. Really. It's an improvement from last season and even before that. Madoka was the only show that stood out. Heck I daresay if Madoka aired this season then last season's anime were crap. (Kore wa and IS isn't interesting on it's own...)

Just checked it out, it was decent i guess. We could have used our imaginations for most of it though, the nails *cringes*. I'm not Christian myself but i do hate the fact that he never looks Jewish in media depictions, anyway interesting short.

I actually found less to follow this season than last. Last season I had IS, Yumekui Merry, Gosick, Star Driver and a couple more. This season all I'm following is TWGOK II (ofc) and maybe Tiger & Bunny. The rest, I could take it or leave it. And I'm most likely leaving it, because I'll need the extra time and broadband to catch up on what I missed last season.

Wow I was expacting Enma-kun to be crazy, but not that much

This might turn out to be my favorite from this season if it stays like the first episode

It certainly was and i think that might be the case with me as well. The novelty of it might wear off after a while though, only time can tell.

I tried a couple more series, AnoHana was another surprise for me. It felt reminiscent of Clannad, I'm not sure how it'll play out but i predict tears may be shed by the end.

Deadman Wonderland was fine, pretty poor looking production values and dark screen censoring put a bit of a dampener on things but if it stays trueito the manga it will be a great ride. I may stick it on hold until the Blu Ray/uncensored are out though.

Also tried but won't be continuing Toradora/SnS/ZnT with guns, it was a lot worse than those 3 and well i have over 9000 shows on my plate as it is.

Think it's just Ao no Exorcist to try now, if the first ep is average i'll probably just read it instead.

Tried Ore-tachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai - hilarious but crap. They actually ruined it when they tried to add plot.

Tried Fireball Charming - cute. Not much to it though.

Tried Tiger & Bunny - eh. I really don't know. It's pretty good, but I dunno if I wanna keep it up.

Tried Hanasaku Iroha - very, very good, but not my style at all.

Tried TWGOK II - OF COURSE I'M FOLLOWING IT JEEZ.

Tried Sengoku Otome - HAHAHAHAHA no.

Just finished Kanokon. God I hate it when the manga stops publishing ><

Overall it was decent, a load of ecchi scenes which made it quite amusing to see as long as some laughs. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes ecchi and comedy manga.

I watched that ages ago, average as average can get if i remember correctly. The little fox spirit who's name began with an N (i think) was the only decent character. Did it have conclusive pairing in the end? I'm guessing he ended up with milk jugs.
