So by trick do you mean that
Spoiler:

Fall 2011 looks far from impressive, but at least it doesn't seem to be dominated by bad light novel adaptations and "cute girls doing cute things" shows like the previous few seasons. It also has the first Bones show that I've been interested in in a couple of years, which is promising. Sadly, though, for the second season in a row there's nothing from SHAFT. Are they too busy with Kizumonogatari or are they rolling in too much Madoka cash to care?

Yeah I think it's something along the lines of

Spoiler:

but bear in mind this is completely a fan rumour and stuff (which may have some weight but I don't know) so there's no way of telling, but it'd seem an odd one to spread for no reason so...who knows.

I'm actually quite looking forward for the one about the girl that takes photos, it'll be generic as hell but it looks pretty.

Also, is this the best opening of all time?

RINGO. MOGIRE. BIIMUUUU.

I love that song xD

The guy who always sings those OPs for SZS is really funny, I saw a video for a song he did called "NEET Fishing" or something and it was so silly and funny xD I'm not sure if it's been used for SZS as I've only seen the first series.

YAY found it

After watching Madoka, everything makes sense. Kafuka is a witch whose powers outstrip even those of Walpurgisnacht and the SZS OPs are merely various areas in Kafuka's Witch's Labyrinth. The entire series is just a delusion created by Itoshiki Nozomu to allow him to cope with the fact that he, or she, rather, is a mahou shoujo. Whenever she attempts to kill herself, she fails miserably because her body has powers of regeneration.

Her "students" are all caricatures defined by a particular personal flaw because it was those very imbalances in their temperament that caused Nozomu's former mahou shoujo companions to become witches. In her delusion, she is a "teacher" attempting to fix the flaws of her former comrades so that they survive, but it is already too late. She has already slain them all and collected their Grief Seeds; all, that is, except for Kafuka, whose terrifying power Nozomu has no hope against. The grueling existence and cruel, hopeless fate of the mahou shoujo have left her in despair, but her life cannot end at her own hand's, only Walpurgiskafuka's.

Oh, and Tsunetsuki Matoi is obviously Kyuubey. Jiiiiiiiiiiii~

Shakugan no Shana III, Bakuman Season 2 and Persona 4?
That's enough anime for me. God, I'm excited.
Oh, and I recently finished Madoka. Best. Trap. Ever.

No, I mean the series in general is a trap. xD;
You try out the anime, thinking it's going to be a light-hearted magical girl anime, and well, you know the outcome. xDD;;
One of the most original animes I've ever seen.

Akemi Homura is badass, too. o3o

There are 2 much more "badass" magical girls in a different Shinbo anime.
Spoiler:

I do find myself looking out for Shaft stuff more than others even if their last couple of shows were less than good. I'm about halfway through the Kizu novel and have to say that i's pretty damn good, very interesting to see what Shinbo can do on a bigger budget.

Lies, Natsu no Arashi! was cool. Not seen the second season yet but the first was very unique. Shinbo and Tsuruoka working on the same anime, all my love.

The second season wasn't quite as good as the first (three episodes must have used the same "take this expired milk back in time so it'll be fresh again" plot slightly retooled), but you should still definitely watch it whenever you get the chance.

I'm kind of bummed that no one ever managed to scanlate the manga after the first few chapters (or license and localize it, for that matter). I recently read that it's up for some prestigious manga award in Japan this year.

Here's the most up to date one i can find, looks like an ok lineup to me,

Hotarubi no Mori e
Toaru Hikuushi

My list:
supercell the animeGuilty Crown
Fate/Zero
Tamayura
IndexIka Musume
Working
Last Exile (with a bit of skepticism)
Gundam AGE cuz seeing inazuma eleven style character die will be amusing
Mirai Nikki
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (hoping they keep all the reference names intact)
Persona 4
Shana III
Phi Brain
Bakuman 2
C^3
Battle Spirits (hoping i actually get all of the series to watch this time >>)

OVAs will vary based on when i remember them, and movies are in theater release dates, and are therefore inconsequential right now.

You guys are still forgetting an important SHAFT mahou shoujo.

Skip to 4:00. Yes, I'm the only person in the world who actually liked this series.

YES! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I'M NOT ALONE!

It was pretty good stuff. I wish more slice-of-life anime had supernatural elements. Hajime was a man's man, the anti-oblivious/wimpy harem protagonist. Funniest use of time travel in any anime. Deliciously freaky fanservice. SHIO KUDASAI. And dialogue that was good enough to compensate for the complete lack of budget and fact that 50% of the scenes were in front of the same backdrop inside of the Haokbune. It was more like watching a play then an anime at times, hah.

Okay, guess I'll add my fall 2011 impressions.

Busou Shinki: looks like a moe version of Angelic Layer used to sell expensive models. PASS.

Chihayafuru
: I ask myself, would I be even half as interested in this if the protagonist was a man? I guess that there's a draw to women taking up hobbies that they don't normally take up. WATCH.

Guilty Crown: Like the character designs. Like Production IG. Premise could easily become a trainwreck. WATCH.

Koukai Senjou no Horizon: Not a fan of those character designs. Sunrise sci-fi shows that aren't Gundam tend to be bad. They're 1-1 this year for me with Tiger & Bunny (great) and Sacred Seven (horribad) so…I dunno. WAIT FOR IMPRESSIONS.

Fate/Zero: FAAAAAAAATEEEEEEEEE. WATCH.

Tamayura ~Hitotose~
: I need to be convinced that this isn't just cute girls doing cute things. WAIT FOR IMPRESSIONS.

Fujilog: uh…….wha? PASS.

Mashiro-Iro Symphony: "boy going to girls school" premise sets off alarm bells. The generic eroge-looking character design guarantees that this premise will be played straight and completely without irony. I can't believe Manglobe has to make series like this to survive now. PASS.

Shinryaku?! Ikamusume: sequel to one of the best series of last year. WATCH.

Working!!: I never made it past a couple of episodes in the original. That androphobic girl annoyed the hell out of me. PASS.

Last Exile: Fam the Silver Wing: as sacrilege as this may be to admit, I never made it all the way through the first Last Exile. The CG was really jarring to me and even though I love steampunk, by halfway through it felt like the plot was going nowhere. It's been five years since I last tried it, though, so maybe my tastes have changed. I'd have to give that a second chance before watching this. PASS.

Un-Go: Bones has really fallen from grace in my eyes in the past couple of years. Since Darker than Black: Gemini no Ryuusei, the only series of theirs that I haven't dropped was FMA Brotherhood. Somehow, having no synopsis at all is probably sustaining my interest more than if it actually had one. WATCH.

Mobile Suit Gundam AGE: a dagger through my heart, Sunrise. PASS.

Kimi to Boku: possibly the least-interesting synopsis I've ever read. JC Staff is not a name that I generally associate with quality, so there's zero incentive for me to watch this. PASS.

Maji de Watashi blah blah: eroge adaptation. Has there ever been one not titled Fate/Stay Night that was actually good? PASS.

Lupin III: never got into the original. PASS.

Mirai Nikki: I hear much praise for the manga. Definitely intrigued. WATCH.

Boku wa Tomodachi no Sukunai
: I've seen too much fanart of this on…uhh…fanart sites not to give it at least a try. WATCH.

Persona 4: The Animation: PERSONA 4 THE FREAKING ANIMATION WHOAAAAA. WATCH.

Shakugan no Shana III: the first never impressed me. Another sacrilege comment from me: Rie Kugimiya's voice is pure nails on a chalkboard. PASS.

Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle: It looks like a forgettable anime from the mid-00s. Oh, Sunrise, that's why. WAIT FOR IMPRESSIONS.

Bakuman Second Season: waiting for this to totally wrap up before watching any of it yet. The manga's not even completed, right? PASS.

C3: a mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in something that sounds like a bad light novel premise. WAIT FOR IMPRESSIONS.

Ben-To: looks like generic fanservice but with a premise that freakish, I have to at least try. WATCH.

Battle Spirits: Heroes: Toyetic anime tend not to be my thing. I have a friend who will probably be watching this with bells on, though. PASS.

Cross Fight B-Daman: same as above. PASS.

And then all the OVAs and movies, which I'm not bothering with except to say that I'm FREAKING PUMPED that we're getting an s-CRY-ed movie, even if it's just a recap.

Also, calling all PC Precure fans (all one or two of you): in the Suite Precure movie, IS THAT SHIRABE AKO AS A CURE???? I always kind of wanted her to become the third cure even though
Spoiler:

Indeed everyone's favourite yandere manga series adaptation is a must watch, for everyone.

Bakuman 2, if it's as too the manga as s1 we're going to need like 10+ series to finish it, and going by sales of s1 that probably won't happen. s2 should filler end in a way that's not horrible, they get anime, get married, live happily ever after.

Oh come on, not watching fate/zero OR Mirai Nikki? seriously? talk about bad taste
Come on now, I said give or take a few other series. I'm planning on watch the other Fate/Zero series first, and Mirai Nikki as soon as I finish up the manga.

You don't need to watch fate/stay night to watch this cuz it's a prequel

I think I might just do that, I've never gotten around to F/S Night but I'm a shonenfag and i've heard it's decent for what it is, meh.

Duuuuuuuuuuuude, this weeks S;G
