Language Arts? xD That's actually kind of appropriate, seeing as English and Japanese are two of my favourite subjects, and English is one of the few things I'm not worried about failing in... XD [not that I failed last year, and I was freaking out about everything then XD] And Military History? <3 Spiffy. I know nothing about that actual subject... but I like history, so ehh XD

We are? FUN X3 Do we get to participate in activism?

+read a book about activist hippies today+ There's a girl, and she's really smart and cynical. She ends up with a hippie who's the daughter of rich parents but refuses to borrow even a cent out of principle, because her parents are the owners/shareholders in a huge business that destroys the environment, and she basically considers it dirty money. Consequently, she struggles to pay off her rent. Then there's a guy that the hippie girl falls in love with, until she discovers that he eats meat. Then the guy's sister, who ran off with this guy's girlfriend, turns up crying because the latter girlfriend dumped her for a lingerie model. Meanwhile, the hippie girl and the sister, who are falling in love, just as the protagonist and the guy fall in love - they're also roomies, btw x: all four of them are roommates -, are busy arranging this huge activist thing over eighty hectares of bushland that is about to be developed. Our protagonist, meanwhile, is getting brilliant marks at school, and drops her nicotine habit. To take her mind off her cravings, she decides to assist with the hippie gathering. Then her tutor tells her not to drop her academic career for "grassroots politics", so she pikes out, only to relent. Then this guy decides to turn it into a dance party.

Finally, after they fail and there is a compromise of about ten hectares of land, the two couples finally announce their love, and the protagonist misses her exam, but gets it postponed, because the hippie threw herself in the digging scoop thing and nearly died in a desperate attempt for media sympathy to gather supporters, so they all go to hospital. But then the Greens decide they want her to join up, and it all turns out well.

It was quite disturbing, convoluted love triangles aside O_o; but the hippie thing was cool, so I read it.
