Japanese and English game logo differences

    Was browsing Twitter and came across this tweet, which showed a comparison of the Japanese and English BDSP logos.

    A lot of people think the original Japanese looks a lot better, but the localization team has always used the same yellow/blue logo internationally.

    Here's a comparison of past logos for main series games. SwSh was the first time Japanese games had the same style/colors as the localized Pokémon logo, but it looks like they're not sticking with that trend for some of the newly-announced games.

    Which logo style do you prefer? Would you like it more if the logos were closer to the originals, or do you find the localized Pokémon logo too iconic to change?
     
    I usually like both, but the DP remake western logo looks cheap
     
    The originals are definitely nicer, even if there's really no one logo for people to associate with the series. From a marketing/eye grabbing perspective the localized version makes sense, but gosh does it look less appealing.

    Agreed with the localized BDSP logo not looking very high quality too :(
     
    another vote for the Japanese logos. like, literally i pick all of them over the Western ones. i mean it's cool i guess that Pokemon gets uniform logos all around over here for the sake of branding, but i just love how the Japanese play around with the Katakana designs in theirs. the worst we ever got beaten imo was Gen 3. by golly the Japanese ones look so epic while the Western ones are literally just a bunch of white text...
     
    i personally like how all the colours match w/ the jp logos over the western ones lol. the yellow in the pokemon logo looks so jarring sometimes...
