    June '09 Pixel Art Contest


    This month will be a little different than usual. You have both a size limit, and a limited palette.
    Your entry may not be any larger than 50 x 50 pixels, and may use no more than 4 colours.

    You must design a character of some sort, while keeping it small and using only 4 colours.

    Rules & Contest Information:
    • Your entry must be 50 pixels in height and 50 pixels in width, or smaller.
    • Your entry must contain no more than 4 colours. Transparency is not included in those 4 colours.
    • Obviously, follow of the Forum-wide PC Rules, as well as the Pixel Art Rules.
    • Your entry must be entirely your own.
    • You may submit one entry. If you submit more than one, then only the last one will be judged.
    • Your entry may be a new piece of pixel art you created for this contest, or any of your older works that may be relevant.
    • Entries must be submitted before July 1st.
    • You may edit your entry as much as you want prior to July 1st, just try not to go overboard and edit it every single day.
    • If your entry is disqualified for breaking the colour or size restrictions, you may enter again.
    • If your entry is disqualified for sprite theft, you may NOT enter again, and you will be reported.

    If you do not have access to a program which allows you to make your entry transparent, you can upload it to Iaza.
    Just click the link on top, upload it, click on "transparent" on the fourth column, and select the colour you want to make transparent.

    Sorry it's so late, I was hoping someone else would do it this month, but.. that didn't happen.​

    Four colors? Well, this will be.... challenging.

    edit: Here's my entry. Some sort of strange purple being, with a creepy mask. It's just the first thing that came to mind, I'll probably replace it with something completely different.

    I'll edit this post when I make my entry, which will probably be tomorrow or the next day or something. Free time FTW~

    ...Why do I get the feeling that 'good work; not enough detail' is gonna be written in my review someplace?

    No. We don't change contest rules, either you follow them or you get disqualified.

    its a little psycic trying to master his powers by levatating a rock...yea i probably will think of somthing better cause idk i dont love it.
     
    Wow, 7 entries in 24 hours... this is going great so far. I think there were like 7 entries total in the last one, and it had a whole month. XD

    All are accepted, except for the Chibi Robo and ~Watermelon. You may either incorporate a character into your entry somehow, or make a new entry.

    Hmm... it has to be an original work, and it has to be a character... but does it have to be an original character?

    Yes. But it doesn't have to be that original of a character. Just a person or random animal could be considered a "character", I suppose.

    Really simple, but better than nothing.

    And yes, it's meant to be slightly square, that's the originality. I'm creative, aren't I? It was in a box for too long.
