ahhhhh you still havent gotten to my ultra-secret request!
are you going to start and do mine anytime soon, i know i havent been on much, buy comon still do mine...
i asked a while back...
I haven't forgotten, I just haven't had time to get back with the rest of the requests. I do go to college you know, and with that said finals week is just around the corner and I need to spend just a bit more time studying instead of sketching. So cut me some slack, I'll get it done when the time is right :P.

OK! I finished one more sketch but it wasn't on the request list, its for a fake card I'm making. Surprisingly its Deoxys, in its defense form. Let me know what you think!

Edit: I also uploaded a larger version of finished mewtwo drawing I did a few days ago.

The Coloured Mewto Is OK, But You Have Done Better.. Though The Background And Orb Is Cool.

Not that great eh? I see what you mean, I kinda-sorta made em' like that on purpose since I did make them specifically for card art. You see, it becomes a bit pointless to add all the nifty details only to lose it all after I resize the image =\. Doing it this way saved me a truck load of time and effort.

Ah, anyway I still haven't gotten around to finishing any new sketches (or even coloring deoxys yet) but I will start working on one or.. three today and tomorrow.. So that means you'll see some new pictures within the next 48 hours XD.

Bleh I double post again

Just posting my colored version of Deoxys, I went all out on the background again, hehe. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to make that background and yes I made it entirely from scratch. Hopefully, I'll have the fake card version up in a few hours, I'm still tinkering with the attacks ;). In the mean time you can drop in a comment, if you'd like to.

The detail in the background is fantastic! Although the outlines of Deoxys are a bit choppy, it is still a great pic, maybe one of your best.

Thanks!
Well, I'm not sure what you meant by choppyness in the outline (I thought it came out rather clear from my point of view.) The only bad thing I wish I could fix in the picture was the fact that some of the lines on deoxys were a little "off" or wavy in appearence =\. That was my hand getting tired from penning it, sorry about that, lol.

Woah! How'd you do that background? It looks awesum!
How did I do that? Hmm well.. its realy hard to explain fully as I barely knew what I was doing, incase you haven't noticed I like doing random photoshop experiments.
It basically began with a seperate blank canvas:
  • I created a plain looking terrain face for the planet. By doing that, I set brush color to default (which is black&white.) Then I setup a cloud filter effect. With that, I set my color channel mode to the LAB color mode.
  • THEN I added a new channel to the picture, and made that into a "difference cloud" effect. Its basically like clouds but reversed.
  • With the first layer, I then turned the clouds green and brown for land. Then came the tricky part (as if this entire background wasn't tricky enough.) I went to the color range menu and with the 2nd cloud channel active I selected the darker patches of "clouds" and hit ok to close the menu. With the dark patches still selected, I selected the 1st layer which are the green clouds. Somewhere around this step is where I set the color mode back to RGB.
  • Anyway, I hit the "delete" key to erase the patches to make the green layer have holes so you could see through it and see the 2nd cloud layer.
  • Still keeping up with what I'm trying talking about? Really? o__0 Hmm, anyway I then deselected the invisible patches and went back to my plain looking second cloud layer. I then changed it to a cool surrealistic ocean blue color. Now its starting to look like a planet, yay.
  • But I didn't stop there, I then added a texture effect by using the lighting effects on the green layer. Once I finished that I gave it some brown coloring to make more natural.
  • Then I pasted the piece to the Deoxys background as a seperate layer and gave it a nice atmosphere effect and glowing edges. But right before I did that, I stretched and rounded it to make it look more spherical=).
  • The rest was pretty simple, I created another layer behind the planet layer and made a starfield effect, added couple nebulas, and some lens flares. Oh AND I also added the lightning effects on front of Deoxys to make it look *ahem* cool. And tada! I finished my background, lol. Complicated, isn't it? If you really want to know more in detail on how I did the effects n' stuff just PM me about it.

So, do you have any more questions or comments?
*Suddenly realizes that he probably confused everyone to death.*

Don't worry I'm definitely not rushing myself, lol. But next week being my last week of school I'll finally have some extra time to finish the rest of the requests. So no worries, I'll have them done relatively soon!

*cough* Anyway, I wasn't in the mood of drawing anything serious today so I decided to fool around and doodle all afternoon. I came up with two new sketches though! This time they are both Ninja Spinda! I haven't seen too much(if any) fanart of this pokemon so I tried my hand at it. I think they both came out quite funny, imo. I may or may not color them depending on my schedule for the week. For now, enjoy and drop in a word or two on what you think, thank you!

Thanks!
Make cards of both of them? Eh, possibly. I'll know if I do in a few days.

I would but I am doing homework at the same time so I need to stay off of msn until I'm done. You wouldn't believe how many friends will ask me what I've been up to lately, lol. Besides, PC is distracting me enough as it is =P.

I adore those ninja Spinda sketches!

The perspective in the first one is amazing *_* I really suck at perception and no matter how hard I try I can never get anything to look actually in perspective XD

The second one is so cute and funny, silly clumsy Spinda Ninja X3

What will I draw next? Well its either Celebi, another dragonite, or Rayquaza, lol. Right now I'm leaning towards celebi as it is easy to draw, me thinks.

Actually, I also kinda suck at drawing things in odd perspectives. But after I read up a bit on it I think I finally got the hang of it. I just gotta be brave enough to try it more often XD.
