3rd Gen Kecleon

Kecleon has a very interesting way of encountering it in Generation III and their remakes. You can only see them by making them visible with an item called the Devon Scope. You can obtain them normally in the wild, but there's only a 1% encounter rate in the grass, as opposed to the 100% static encounter rate of the six invisible Kecleon you can find on Hoenn Route 120 there is also two invisible Kecleon on Route 119.
There is also a Kecleon blocking the path to the Fortree Gym, but it runs away if you interact with it. In OR/AS, there's also a hidden one inside the space center that always has its hidden ability.

Kecleon also has a gimmick of sorts being able to change into any type depending on what the type of move it is hit by. No other Pokemon has the Color Change ability.

What did you think of the special method to obtain the Kecleon around the Hoenn region? Have you ever used Kecleon in R/S/E?

For a long time I though the six Kecleon are the only ones in the original games, so I always caught one. I don't remember using them, but I plan on doing it. Color Change sounds like a lot of fun to play with.

It's a really unique pokemon.. and given its ability and battle style, I was really considering incorporating it into Koga's ninja-themed pokemon team in Gen 3, coz you know.. its ability, as well as its tendency to disappear and become stealthy, like a ninja.

I really like the design of the species, and I think I've only ever found two or three of them in tall grass. All the others that I caught were the invisible ones that you can find in certain areas in R/S/E.
