    the worst condiment.

especially if one is eating a hot dog -- I just find it (for the most part) kid's stuff.

mustard is pretty good and there are plenty of good products. even the generic stuff is okay.

IN UR OPINION!!!! i don't really like ketchup either but i go through these condiment phases where i'll obsess over one for about two weeks and eat it on everything and every other condiment will sound disgusting, then i'll move onto the next condiment i guess i'm overdue for a ketchup phase

And where is your data supporting that statement? If you have none then it is just an opinion, and you should label it as such. In my opinion relish is the worst condiment.

What? Ketchup is one of the best condiments ever! I eat it for almost every meal I come across. Relish is one of the worst condiments, IMO.

Ketchup has its place, like at Mcdonalds. I do perfer more sophisticated condiments somtimes, like horseradish or dijion mustard.

Well I'm not sure if there's much of a difference between ketchup and tomato sauce (what we call it over here), but if there is a difference the ketchup is probably more sweet/fatty compared to tomato sauce (going by my observation that most American foods I've eaten are more sweet and fat than Australian foods). The reason I say that is I can't remember what ketchup tastes like, but I do like tomato sauce a lot. Tomato sauce works on everything. I went through a period when I didn't have it for ages and then when I had it again it was like heaven.

    ohgod, I hate the word condiment now.. just from this thread. xD;

Ketchup.. is okay, I prefer Ketchup that's less sweet, like whatever company McDonald's ketchup is - I like theirs a lot. I don't really care for it much in general, though. If I'm gonna use anything, it would be mayonnaise, or mustard. Or soy sauce! Depends on where I'm eating, of course.

I love ketchup with fries, couldn't live without it, but mustard has some good uses too.

    Tomato is good.

    Thus, tomato sauce is good.

thank you, thank you very much.

I eat ketchup in most of my meals, actually. Fries are too naked without ketchup!

I don't see anything wrong with ketchup, for example it's tastes wonderful with fried sausages.
I hate, hate, hate mayonnaise though, I find its taste disgusting. If I want something that tastes fatty I'll take lard (on bread, of course) over it any day.

You are so wrong, my friend. I'm not a ketchup freak (I usually prefer to eat my fries/chips without ketchup), but I put a lot of it when it comes to hot dogs YUM.

I dunno what relish even is, but it sucks. =/

Oh, and tartar sauce isn't that bad. I actually sorta like it. :3

I am laughing so hard at the "Which condiment is classier?" debate.

Condiments are neither classy nor base. Deal with it.

How can a condiment be "kids stuff"?

That's like saying using notecards is kid's stuff.
    Pizza is kid's stuff.

Ketchup is good on Hamburgers which are tasteless otherwise.
