Well, they can do a Release that Close to eachother, But Highly Doubt it. and Remember that Japan Delayed it till Spring, and Aug 31 is in the summer, and closet to Fall

We still have no release date. Even for FM+, a rehash with some extras, we got the Japanese release date of late March around the new year. It's nearly spring now. I just kind of expect it'll end up being a summer release there. :B But, there is a chance they'll do a near simultaneous release. They've been doing that a lot with non-popular franchises (like new games--Infinite Undiscovery and Last Remnant) so it wouldn't surprise me to see them do that for their big ones.

Question but do you guys think we will ever see the light of day of getting final mix for the west? I thnink it would be great for them to release it again for those who never bought the original but want to play it. And cause well its a hell of a lot better then the original. I mean all those neat bosses we never got and gummi missions along with weapons and cutscenes and such. Gah it makes me mad. Oh wait lets not forget all those moves that we never got. Damn you Squeenix.

No, In a interview with Nomura, He said that Maybe some time in the Future He'll release a Final Mix outside of Japan, But he also said He wont release the first 2, He said possible the next ones, if he makes it. Lemme find the Interview

Not all PS3s.

My Friend has a Japanese and English One. and i tired to play Final Mix on his english one didnt work. it told me to enter a Playstation, Playstation 2 or a Playstation 3 Disc, or a Dvd, Blue Ray Disc. same with the japanese one when I test out a American Game. Soo.. Not all Ps3 are Region Free. But I heard Europe's Ps3 are tho.

PS3 is region free for... PS3 games. Since the PS3s that do have backwards-compatibility just have extra PS2 hardware in them (so no different from playing a US or UK or JP-only PS2) or else they're tricked into playing PS2 games via software which has problems playing regional games let alone foreign games. :| But most (if not all?) Blu-Ray PS3 games are region-free.

I don't see why we'd get Final Mixes. The first one has only a handful of things added in. Most people would probably buy it and then go "they made me spend money on this!?" and it would fail. As for FM+? One of the big draws to it was Re:COM and since they've already released that Stateside, I don't think the rest of the content has any chance whatsoever. :[

Oh wait we never got final mix+ as well? Hmm i thought we did. But yeah beisdes the handful of stuff i find them pretty cool. If not the first 2 then what is he going to rehash with new stuff? I would at least expect a 2 disc for 1 thing with both final mix and + together. I mean wouldnt that make sence?
Edit: Hmm i had an interesting thought. Birth by sleep. Deep meaning of a title no? Well so far we know 4 worlds that are there. 3 of them are princess of heart worlds no? What if and i mean just what if the goal of terra ven and aquas quest is to ultimately put the 6 princesses of heart to sleep to awaken kairi and send her to destiny island so the gears of the future(IE the other 4 games in front of it in the timeline) can start a whirring. I mean it also revolves around malificent and ansem searching for kairi but of course she cant be found cause she hasnt been awakened yet. So that could be the plot of the game and part of the 3 scenarios. And it could also feature younger versions of the FF characters that help you(leon yuffie and that bunch)

Stil, we have games to fill M+ like COD5! Surely something else will take away the pain.

What gets me though, is that we miss out on the extra scenes/text in the Final Mixes. Being the plot fanatic that I am, it's very irritating to miss out on additions to the storyline. At the very least, I'd like to see the added scenes dubbed and other materials (text, Another Report, etc) translated (Ideally, they wouldn't make any updated re-releases at all, but such is life).

I'm sort of losing interest (hype fatigue, maybe?) with the lack of even a Japanese release date. It would've been better if the announced the game much, much later (when it was closer to completion). When was 358/2 first announced again, anyway? I remember hearing about it near the end of '07 at least.

Well, to be fair it's not like those scenes were ever even dubbed in Japanese. :[ But that's where I get confused--how hard would it have been to just translate and subtitle the extra scenes and extra menu bits? That's pretty much all there was extra. 8| Just bundle it with Re:COM and market Re:COM more heavily if they feel it'd be the more well-received of the two...

Well, I prefer it this way over Nintendo's general "OH BTW WE HAVE SOME GAMES COMING OUT IN A WEEK" since it gives me something to look forward to (and save up for!).

For me i would have to say hollow bastion and atlantica of 1 over the ones in kingdom hearts 2 as well hollow bastion was just plain awesome in one but the whole town and rebuilding thing killed it and the only thing worthy was just the whole battle of 1000 heartless there and thats it. For atlantica well the whole musical thing ruined it. I found it fun to battle ursula but the whole musical thing was over kill. Otherwise the other worlds got the upgrade they needed.

That DSi is the ugliest thing I've seen in a while. I was hoping for a tasteful design like the logo, or a simplistic design of Roxas or... you know, something nice. I just really, really, REALLY dislike this. Had it been something else, I honestly would've dropped the $400 it'd take to import it and whatnot but now? Ugh, definitely not. I think it's a tacky design that's way too busy and just... just... uuuuuuugh. Like maybe if they made that motif very, very light on the background and still went with a more prominent design in the foreground but... ugh. I'm just rambling now.

At least I won't be down a ton of money.

Regardless... I have preordered two copies already; one for me, one for my friend. One day shipping. Final Destination.

Any news on when Birth By Sleep comes out yet? Rumors are saying summer 09 but I haven't found any confirmation.

As far as I know, nothing. :( There IS a supposed announcement coming out within the next week regarding the Kingdom Hearts series though. I think it's still too early for a KH3 announcement (since the KH team is still working on FF13 Versus which has no release date) so maybe it'll be a release date for BBS.

Whatever it is, I'm excited for it. :O
