awesome cover! i also love that it's a binder, so you need not worry about creases when folding over pages. but it won't even matter if, like you said, you ain't ever gonna write in it lol.

also, is that a... Grimmsnarl mousepad??
Same, I don't really have to worry about it getting damaged or anything and I'm really happy about that. Most notebooks I have don't have rings so I feel like I have to be a little more careful with them. (I know I mentioned owning a bunch before, I've since started writing in some of them)

Good eye, yeah it's a playmat that was bundled with the Marnie TCG box that came out... sometime recently? I like having playmats on my desk to sort of act as mousepads so I have this one and a Love Live one next to it that I usually rest my mouse on, it's a nice way to get some of my interests on my desk while saving space and I don't have to get a boring mousepad, I can look at things I like. Here's a pic of the whole thing if you're curious.

ooh wow that looks to have literally the same surface/material as a standard mousepad. and it's huge too! i personally prefer a more "boring style" mouse mat bcs i like the sleeker aesthetic heh. also this one i have rn is nice and big and it was just like 7 bucks lol.

I don't have a lot on my desk right now, but I think it'd be cool to get a lot more for it and then compare with the kind of aesthetic you like, it'd be fun to compare the two and see how different they are. I sorta just started having playmats on my desk since I have a lot from things like going to Regionals (since they'll just give you one for signing up) and needed somewhere to put them. Now I've started either using them as mousepads or... I just replaced them with a Love Live one... Whoops.~

I'd love to post some of the stuff I have, but I don't have much so maybe I'll just share a couple photos and call it a day.

I used to have cards on my desk but they'd sometimes fall over and scare the life out of me if I was laying in bed... I've since sold a lot of them off (because I wanted extra money and had to move around the time) so I just have a small box on my bookshelf of ones, and then a binder in one of my drawers for the more valuable stuff.

My desk isn't too messy but... if you walked in you'd definitely get the impression I just put things there if I have nowhere else to put them.

My desk is a utter mess filled with tons and tons of YGO cards, my PC setup and some other stuff :x
but you at least have a good amount of space for your mouse to move around right?

this is basically my living room atm lmao. so much random junk everywhere bcs we don't have a storage room + my aunt outright refuses to throw them away -_-

Same, with having a small room. I think mine was supposed to be an office, but hey, I needed some place to reside in...
What I used to before was have large boxes for them and just place them under my desk and I'd dig them out if I ever needed to look through the whole collection when deckbuilding or something (which wasn't very often mind you). I kept everything I usually needed either in separate small boxes or in the binder.

That's kinda what my place is like, I can relate. My parents (well, my mom really) keep a lot for... whatever reason. When I moved I pretty much got rid of everything I didn't use. It included a lot of childhood stuff but... I didn't really wanna keep that in the first place anyways. When we moved though, I found myself wondering "Why do we even have this?" a few times, and I even asked while I was moving it or would say "Why am I moving this, we're not gonna use it?" but hey, that never really got anywhere.

ever since taking a vow of minimalism, this sounds like a nightmare for me xD i've been downsizing so that everything has a place and there's a place for everything.
I use the bed XD
wait, you use your bed to store things on? where do you sleep?

Thankfully it's been a lot easier to manage since getting rid of them all. It was a great summer, handing it off to people who could use it better and using the money to admit to myself that purchasing some stuff would make me happy and not have to live a boring life anymore. I think I like having a smaller space because it keeps things easier to manage, and I didn't realize until I sold cards off how little I even used them while I kept them.

Yeah, I second this. What?

literally my mindset when i started konmari and looked at a lot of the stuff i was jamming into drawers. never needed 80% of them. having a small space really forces you to do that.

i dunno if i already mentioned this here, but i now also only have like 18 shirts total lmao. just need to wash every week is all.

What is konmari? I saw that and thought of KanaMari which is a completely different thing...
Though yeah, I think it's great to clean stuff out and realize you don't use some of it anymore.

Honestly I don't own enough shirts... I kinda want more, and I've never gone on a big clothing shopping trip in... my whole life probably.

Anyways at the risk of embarrassing myself, while we're talking about things we own I wanted to share a couple pics of my daughter so here you go.~

Ok so Konmari is a philosophy developed by Marie Kondo, some influential Japanese minimalist, who states that all your items should have a purpose and have their own place. It helps to make you appreciate what you have a lot more. Lots of people heard about it thanks to the Netflix show (me included) and it really helped to declutter our belongings by making us ask a simple question, "does this spark joy?" I've found several items that never sparked joy, thus I thanked them for being with me for a long time, before sending them off :) I encourage you to search it. It's a fun lil rabbit hole hehe.

Also, I was legit concerned that you had an actual daughter for a bit there lmao. She cute thoo.
