Suggestion: Likes on blogs

Didn't we already get PC 2.0 with the username changes?

Not at all. PC 2.0 is going to be totally different than what PC looks like with loads of new features and a completely overhauled layout. And I also believe there's going to be a classic layout as well.

Nope, that was simply a result of the server swap. The new one is able to take the stress the old one couldn't. Of course, I could be wrong, wait for an admin to confirm. :P I'm terrible at details.

Edit: well, okay, instead listen to the ninjas above lol

I came here to agree with the blog Likes, but now I'm more like "... oh my god i'm so excited". @ PC 2.0

I've been wanting likes on blogs for ages and now I'm happy to know they'll be coming with PC 2.0! Can't to see what PC 2.0 brings now.

The one question I have now: Is there an approximate ETA on PC 2.0?
I'd assume it will be released next year some time, but that's just pure speculation on my behalf. In essence, it will be released when it's ready to be released I suppose.

Well, there's no reason there shouldn't be likes on blogs but there's no reason one is really needed either. If you like an entry so much can't you just leave a comment saying so? Sorry, I just don't like systems like Facebook built around the 'like' function, it devalues the social interaction if you ask me ^.^

Many times I've agreed with posts or blog entries but really have nothing worthwhile to contribute. Thus, the like feature accommodates for users like me. Plus, it helps alleviate parroting in certain circumstances.

I'm all for likes on blog entries!

Yeah, likes on blogs are much better than on posts. In topics, at least you can contribute to a conversation as many people can have their own views and you can agree and disagree with anyone you wish. But on a blog, were its more personal, if you agree or start agreeing with people who agree, it can just become one big circle jerk. So I do think we should at least test it here to see if it works, and also to have a taste at PC2.0

I always wanted likes on the blogs so I'm happy to see that's going to be coming with the whole PC 2.0 thing. Given we had name changes return recently, I figured we'd start implementing more new stuff as a result of the new server.
