5th Gen Liking all new everything?

Well,i have not be one of the people to follow detail by detail of coverage on Black & White but what i have seen is a few game play videos and the Graphics are a 100% more upgraded from platinum.

Only thing i have found i hate is the new pokemon. They just don't give me the feel as pokemon like not like the past generations.

Well they did say that we would not feel like it's pokemon :P

I like the fact we won't be seeing 'A wild Zubat appeared' or 'A wild Tentacool appeared'

There'll probably be some equally annoying pokemon to replace them I'll bet. Oh I do hope there's some variation in the seas and in the caves, but I aint holdin' my breath.

I wonder how many new pokemon there will be.

...But they just won't be Zubat, Tentacool, or Magikarp. n_n

I wouldn't be surprised if they handed us 150 new Pokémon like when they first started the franchise.

I'll be in denial that I can't use a Pikachu or an Arcanine for at least the first six or seven badges. xD;

Buuut, I really don't mind.. I LOVE that we won't run into Zubats, though.

& The fact that all of the Pokemon in the game will be new is exciting in it's own way, but I know that I'll miss the old Pokemon. At some point I'll probably even miss the DPPt Pokemon, even though I'm still not totally used to all of them. baw.

Why is it that when Hoenn removed tons of old favorites and tried to revolutionize the franchise it was ridiculed, but when Isshu does it it's praised?

I hope this isn't true. It'd be more realistic if they had at least a few Pokemon in common.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the difference is that we will be provided with a method of migrating our old Pokémon onto the new game.

Likes, Hopes, and Dislikes: Pokemon Black and White (So far)

[S-HIGHLIGHT]Likes, Hopes, and Dislikes: Pokemon Black and White (So far)[/S-HIGHLIGHT]

Like:
-I like the new variety of pokemon. It'll make the game interesting and different each time you play.
-The seasons! I love that they finally added that feature.
-I like the fact that all of the pokemon in the Isshu Dex are going to be Gen. 5. Sure I'm going to miss Pikachu, Geodude, Magikarp, Abra, and Machop, but I am so happy that I won't be seeing any Zubat when I run around.
- The multiplayer options will make it so that you aren't just trading and battling with your friends, but actually interacting with them.
- 3 vs 3 battling
- The battle animations! I can't wait to see my favorite pokemon actually moving in front of me, not just sitting still the whole battle.

Hopes:
- I hope that you can hold a lot more pokemon, because the hardest part for me is that I want to complete the pokedex and yet have a collection of some of my favorites.
- I hope there is a Pokemon Box/Ranch or a Stadium/Revolution so you can battle your pokemon in a completely 3D feel.
- A huge pokedex that will take a while to complete
- A longer game that isn't very easy to beat
- Higher levels! My main problem with HeartGold and SoulSilver was that I, a veteran who has been playing it for 9 years, I had little to no problem beating the game with level 45-49 pokemon. I want a little challenge, even if that means not having Kanto in the game.
- I do have to say, I would like to see more pokemon that are simple. Sometimes pokemon that have just one type but have a huge diversity in move sets makes them amazing. I do like how they have type combos that just make them sweet. I love Reshirom and Zekroms type combos.
- I hope the places in Isshu will be diverse and fun to explore. A volcano that actually has lava would be awesome

Dislikes:
- The Pokeshifter will make it super hard to transfer a lot of pokemon at once. I have about 100 pokemon to transfer to help me complete my pokedex. It's going to take hours and hours to transfer them all over. Especially if there is a time limit.
- I'm not a huge fan of the fact that Hiun City pretty much takes over about half of Isshu. It'll be sweet, but it'll be easy to get lost in such a big city.

So far, this game looks so amazing! I want to get a 3DS to use all of the features they have to offer. When you see half of the stuff they've done, you realize that they pretty much used everything the DS has to offer in this game, and that's a lot. Not to mention that the starters and all of the other pokemon are looking really cool. It'll make it hard to choose which ones to use. Thanks!

Actually though Hiun City appears large, it's not that big. There's a waterfront street and a main interior street, but that's about it.

And I myself love the new features. Finally cities in Pokemon games that actually LOOK LIKE CITIES! Jubilife is an epic fail compared to Hiun City, in terms of its appearance as a large city.

I can't really find anything I don't like... but if I did I'd just ignore it.

...That's true...I hope their is more to it though than just that :)

Lawl if it's not a legendary it better be available in the wild. So, any of you guys likin' the new and possible new methods of transportation? I think riding trains, subways and airplanes sounds really neat.

This is a really stupid stunt. Its not right that people are being forced to play through the game with pokemon they dont even like. Theres no point in getting the old pokemon once the games over since theres nothing to do but wifi. I want them to be on my team not just to fill up the "new" pokedex. I want to fight gyms with them. Why cant the redo the gym system and not get rid of pokemon people like. Nice going nintendo.

I like the fact the new Pokemon will be all you can see. It makes sense because you're very far away. And now I don't have to see Tentacool and Zubat anymore. At least, not as much. :P

The one thing I absolutely hate is the in-game map. It's just a giant circtle with two stems. Really? That annoys me so much. :|

Blargh.

Who knows, the new pokemon might be good. We've only seen a tenth of them.

Feels good knowing this guy will buy the games just like the rest of us.

Because Egyptian cats are native to Australia, right? Of course, today many animals are imported and bred all over the world, but still.

I like the starting over thing. Well I'm basically a little above indifferent but I'll call it liking. The only thing that has me wondering is the presumable Luvdisc evo. I mean how's that going to work? No breeding until after the (inter)national dex is completed?

And this is the most truth I have read in a post ever. If you're a true Pokemon fan, you'll deal with the changes and stop complaining about it. If you're going to hate anyway, then don't waste your time getting the game. It's one thing offering valid criticism and speculation, and it's other thing to be blatantly(and obviously, at that) hating on the series just because it has such huge differences between it and past generations.
So now we're doing labels? Eh, I don't really care about it, but I'll be damned if I'm not considered a true pokemon fan just because I like to show distaste about the new pokemon, their plans, etc. Sure I may complain and hate, but that doesn't really stop me from going in Gamestop and giving them $70 for both B&W and another $35 for the third version.

Bye, useless Zubat! Hello, Zoroark!
Crobat has the gift of being one of the few poison type pokemon that are very useful. Just because you hate them doesn't mean they're useless. :/

You could always quit the series if you're hating it so much. I can tell you're thinking "OMG I CAN'T HAVE CHARIZARD BAW ;__;". As logical and reasonable as your complaints are, you can't judge a whole generation based off of…what 20 pokemon that we know almost nothing about?

I believe that an all new Pokedex pretty much rules out an evo/pre-evo ideas people were getting.
