Rukario, it's orignal and the name that are always change does not make the game and series feel the same most of the time.

Ya~ I like Rukario.

Except Lucario is supposed to be the correct translation.

I like Rukario, it sound more evil, lucario somehow reminds me of a teddy bear o_O Don't ask, I know I'm weird.

I prefer Rukario. I'm not sure why... I just don't like L's... stupid L's!! *shakes fist*

Umbereon - ??? What does that have to do with dark
Also, on this note, I think Umbro, or Umbo, or some permutation like that, might mean "dark" or "black" in another language. It sounds Spanish to me, but maybe some one who speaks Spanish (or the language it does come from) could clear that up. =)

I like "Rukario" better, but something tells me it's going to be changed to "Lucario" (if not someing completely different) when the new games are translated.

If you watch the trailer and listen realllly carefully you'll notice, at the end he says the title in japanese but says Lucario.

That would be because Japanese R's sound exactly like, as one guide once described it, "the sort of sound an R would make if the mouth tried to make an L." In other words, they sound almost the same.

Likewise, K's and C's (not Ch's, which are a different matter) are pretty much the same as well.

That all said, if we're going for a straight (characters-to-English, not phonetic) Romanization, I'd say Rukario would be pretty close. And it looks cooler too.

Lucario isnt a very great name. The new names for pokemon suck.

Charmander - Salamander
Flareeon - Flare

but then comes

Umbereon - ??? What does that have to do with dark
Treeko - Tree, that isnt a tree.

Se my point

Rukario sounds cool but it doesnt flwo with pokemon. Lucario is just way to out there.

I don't see your point. Umbreon I think is from the color 'Umber' which is a dark color, and Treecko... Tree Gecko anyone?

There is not **** difference. One day you're all going to get used to saying Lucario, even though you say Rukario now, it's going to change. Remember when R/S first came out? We all called Treecko Kimori, and Torchic Achamo. Hey look, just now Squirrel called it Treecko... SO yea, It's going to change, so shut up about Rukario being better and all. There is no **** difference.

luckario*do u fell the force*

Rukario sounds better to me, but techinically as far as correct pronounciation it can be either one, becaue in Japan 'L's are the equivalent of 'R's.

But I call him Rukario.

I have to go with Rukario. I mean, I've been hearing that name since it was introduced. I'll never get used to Lukario o_O
And I perfer Rs over than Ls.
