Add to your Pokédex with one of two great Pokémon! Head to participating GAME retailers to get a serial code that will allow you to receive either Magmar or Electabuzz in your Pokémon X or Pokémon Y game. Pokémon X players can get the Fire-type Pokémon Magmar when they enter their codes, while Pokémon Y players will receive the Electric-type Pokémon Electabuzz. Both of these Pokémon are holding the item necessary to make them evolve (the Magmarizer for Magmar, and the Electirizer for Electabuzz). Trade them while they are holding these items to watch their Evolution take place!

No purchase is necessary to get your serial code. Pick up the code from April 4 until stocks last. Once you have the serial code, enter it in your game, then visit a Pokémon Center to pick up your Pokémon. Don't hesitate to enter the code—you must claim your Pokémon in your game by September 30th, 2014.

When you visit GAME stores, you can also pick up a cool Pokémon TCG sampling pack for free! Each sampling pack contains a special foil Pikachu, plus one randomly selected common card from the Pokémon TCG: XY expansion. Get your sampling pack while supplies last.

For now, this event, apparently, would be available only for those who live in Europe and Australia. If you reside within any of these two places, are you going to get them? Also, do you guys think that these two would ever be distributed in United States? If so, when? Discuss!

I would get these, but I'm pretty sure all the GAME stores in Australia had closed down...

For a game capable of wifi connectivity and has those give away cards when you get things (like the Torchic) Why are all the giveaway pokemon via serial codes? I mean, once upon a time if you went to a game store wifi connectivity was enough to get the pokemon so all you had to do was go into your game to get stuff, but now they're taking a step back and actually making your enter serial codes for everything. Will the next game require e-Cards in order to get pokemon? Perhaps the game after that will require the special 3.5" floppy drive 3DS attachment wher eyou have to instert a special 3.5" floppy disc. I wonder how many IBM Punchards it will take to unlock Mew once Nintendo gets around to completing their reverse evolution of technology! :D

I guess it's a good way of bringing business to games stores in a time when online retailers like Amazon are making it hard for them to stay afloat. It's also harder to hack.

Anyway, yes, I will certainly be heading to my local GAME store to get this ^^ I hope I can get both the Magmar and the Electabuzz :P

This would be interesting to get, but both are rather normal Pokemon so missing out on it in the US isn't a huge deal. I'm sure we'll get some kind of promotion sometime soon.

I love Magmar and Electabuzz and I'm sad NA isn't included in this. Hidden Ability Pokémon in Cherish Balls?? Do want.

Meh, a quick run through Battle Maison can get me the evolution items I need. Hoping this WON'T come to the U.S so we can get something better (no offense) :P

Hm, well, if you're in Aus, then according to this page, you should be able to obtain them from either JB Hifi, EB Games, or Target. d:

This is certainly better news. I'll grab one of each since I ended up with X & Y. :P

I feel for you Americans who were left out here... but hey at least it gives more attention to Australian and European players this time around who get slightly less attention from events than the US and Japan.

Im sorry for you murricans as well, but im glad we europeans are getting some love :P
I love bot these Pokemon and have both games, so ill be getting them both (:

I live in the Eu, but i don't really care about these serial code pokemon. They are just normal pokemon to me. The one thing i can't stand is now that X&Y got global release, wy we don't have all event exclussive that are distrubated via Wifi at the same time to. Japan always gets the best ones that are released either very late to NA and even LATER in EU/AU and some never get released outside japan. Especially those rare event pokemon like mew, jirachi etc...

I guess it'd be cool to have, simply for the novelty value of having a Magmar and an Electabuzz in a Cherish Ball, but I don't feel too bad we got left out since I've already got both Pokes. Anyway, Europe and Australia have kinda gotten the short end of the stick for years when it comes to events, so it's good to see them making a comeback. Maybe we'll get something better in its place :)

I'll probably be getting this; even though its really not that great. I have a GAME store close by, so why not? It's awesome having a Magmar/Electabuzz in a Cherish Ball. :]

Yes! Something for the aussies woot woot :3
I live near a shopping centre with eb games jb hifi so i think i can get my electabuzz :)

This is just one more reason to go to Australia.

im scared do i like actually have to go up to them and be like 'hi give me code pls' or are they just sitting on the counter?? i dont wanna ask anyone for the code that is too scary, if i do i will just make my brother do it holla

That's what I want to know too? Do you actually have to go up and ask for it or what? If you do I probably won't get it, I'd feel too embarrassed. Bit old to be going up to the counter and asking for Pokemon you know.
