anyway it looks abit to square on the left.
I give this map a 7/10.

Ok I have remaped Pallet Town
I also removed the grass as Goodies said but the grass was without Wild Pokemon :P

Comment: This make is better than the other one. I havn't changed the tileset's on my Hack, so don't say it's like the game, I havn't changed the tileset's yet. It is too big to fit on one picture.

The tiles don't matter, most of the time I prefer the nintendo tiles.

It's square and it doesn't look very good. 2/10, please read a mapping tutorial or observe other maps.
 
(@ Above, 'read mapping tutorials / look at maps' is pretty pathetic help)

@ Kalsard:

The waterfall should end at the bottom of the mountain, 5 tiles above where it does now. The mountains also end suddenly (Top left) and are very straight - try making the shape more varied with areas jutting out so the edges are boring.

The house placement is O.K. however there are no paths! A path from the houses to the left would make the route up the mountains a lot less boring.

Allow the vegetation grow away from the borders, put trees along the above path in random places and this will make it look a lot more natural. Also, the wild turbines should probably all be together rather than scattered around.

Overall I would give 3/10, I like the idea but not the execution.

To much errors. Waterfall isn't good. It should go like this:
Waterfall, Water, Waterfall, water, waterfall. <-- that would make it more natural.

Umm..it's supposed to look like that :P

But I think the map seems good. But what would make it better is if it had more bordering...because I would feel like I would fall off the map O_O"

Even though it's a garbage map (not meant literally, but since the tiles are everywhere...)
It still needs to be secure ;)

-The waterfall looks weird.
-Too open in places.
-Tree border is very rectangular.

Ok, the map has changed quite a bit, for the better and the worse.

The trees in the first map (The big cluster around the bottom of the mountain) was good, the extra random trees should have been additional.
The rocks around the bottom of the river look good.

You could improve the shape of the path, as at the moment it is fairly straight and boring, and break away from exact rows of trees by adding extra's to some columns and not others, etc, to vary the shape of the edge of the map.

There are still errors at the west of the mountains as they just end suddenly.

As Ctep pointed out the small trees and bushes do not match the pallette and are a bit of an eyesore.

Also I think the bridges could do with being one tile narrower?

Still 3/10 from me I'm afraid.

The paths to the houses, mart and PC shouldn't end like that. And what others have said. The sign isn't readable. 7/10.

Wow, I have never seen a naturally mapped GBC generation map. I think it's really creative and it came out very nicely. One thing I noticed right away is the chance of border errors. Where the lower mountain touches the border there could be errors. The land bridge is a little awkward because the player won't walk down the middle there, he/she will walk on the edge and I don't think that will look right. The water and mountain placement is just great. Nothing to complain about there. The ledges are nicely done as well.

First map:
Still too square and un-natural looking.
You are not using the mountain tiles correctly, and there is a tile error on the fence under Oak's lab.
So I'm afraid 4/10 :\
And, why make it so big?
To make the gameplay a bit longer?
Or to use more space?
Try making the map smaller.

Second map:
I actually like this one, except for the bottom part, which is very square.
Try avoiding sqareness. Also, the path is pretty much holding the trees. Leave some space at times.
5/10 for pure squareness and un-natural looking
Also, please do include something between bushes and trees just above the sandy area.
Good luck with your future mapping, and remember: There is always room for improvement.
Also remember this: DJG is the best! It's not a fact, it's logic. XD
