Soooo, Mega Sableye apparently keeps its typing, has increased Def./Sp. Atk. but decreased Speed, and gets Magic Bounce as an Ability.

In my own opinion, I'm kinda disappointed it gets Magic Bounce. I can see it making sense with its big jewel, but I was really hoping for Prankster or something that diminished/prevented damage to it based on what was said about it earlier.

Same ability than Mega Absol. Mega Absol got Sp Atk, Speed and Atk boost while having the rest of it's stats intact.

Well I guess the speed drop should've been seen coming as the Jewel will weight it down. So Magic bounce was it, well at least now it doesn't need to worry about status issues.
Since they dropped it's speed it probably means that we can expect a larger boost in it's Sp. Atk and defenses than we previously thought.

I would like to see a comparison of Mega Absol and Mega Sableye in battle. Absol already got less Def and Sp Def than Sableye but it has way more Atk and Sp Atk than Sableye before the Mega evo and he get a boost to it.

But this makes Sableye different than regular Sableye (in terms of movepool and EV spread).
If Sp. Atk is boosted, it can become a bulky sweeper.

Sableye @ Sablite
Magic Bounce
Calm/Bold
252 HP / 200 Sp. Atk / 56 Spd or 252 HP / 200 Sp. Atk / 28 Def / 28 Sp.Def
-Substitute/Will-O-wisp
-Recover
-Shadow Ball
-Dark Pulse

Mega Sableye's Speed will be 5. Mawile has an ability that doubles a stat to compensate for the very low BST. Without a simular ability for Sableye, the only way to make up the diferance is to harvest speed points.

That is an extra 45 points, for a total of 145 to spread around.

Normal Sableye was OU in Gen6 on his own. So You can still make use of Prankster... And then surprise them with a Mega. He can also Recover damage taken before Mega.

Also, he could be a trick room sweeper. He might end up the Slowest Pokemon Ever.

Actually since he will mostly start second you can always use move that take effect if the opponent attack first.

You could psyche opponents out by NOT having a Mega Sableye on your team, and leading with regular Sableye. Could make for a decent scout.

Thus far we have yet to see two members from the same evolutionary line get a Mega (poor Gallade...). I'll like to see Huntail and Gorebyss be the first ones to do so. Maybe Mega Huntail could look beautiful and Gorebyss turn hideous...it'll be an interesting dynamic...

Mega Huntail and Gorebyss would certainly be cool to see, but I'd rather see Milotic. d: It could get Water/Dragon typing, which would be rad, and possible a new useful ability to make it even more of a threat. Clamperl's evolutions, while unique, don't have much else going for them. Then again, maybe giving them a solid Mega would change that!

any pokemon that can learn shell smash should not get a mega, Gorebyss and Huntail have plenty going on...

I would find it funny if GF made a mega Vanilluxe that was just an even bigger ice cream cone that is now chocolate flavor, I would find it cool if it got a swift swim but for hail ability though so it isn't a complete joke. Vanilluxe's relatively poor move pool is what would stop this from ever being too great IMO.

I'll rather Mega Milotic be Water/Fairy and get Moonblast added to it's move pool for these games, or be taught by move tutor.

I think Huntail can get some more attack. It's already quite fast in the rain with Swift swim. I actually almost swept a whole team with Huntail in the rain...It could also get the Dark type for Stab Crunch. Mega Gorebyss could be Water/ Psychic for stab Psychic.

I've been hearing a lot of people say they want Milotic to become a Fairy if it gets a Mega evolution, but for some reason I feel like it would make more sense as a dragon. Sure, it's almost angelic in its beauty, but it's also a sea serpent, not something that's generally associated with fairies. However, either would work, and Moonblast in its move pool would definitely make it scary to go up against!

Try leading with a Gengar against a Fighting type. THAT would scare someone out of the battle just by faking them out with the potential of a Mega evo.

Curious, how did you determine their likeliness? o:

This picture is an accurate representation of what's been on my mind lately. If I choose Mudkip, plan on using its Mega, and it turns out to be female, I'll soft reset until I get a male. Usually I could care less about stuff like that, but Mega Swampert is just so... masculine. Female Mudkip is a 12.5% chance though so I probably won't have to worry.

Golbat? You mean Crobat right? Crobat is the final evolution xD

I would like to see a Mega Lanturn. I do wonder which non Gen III pokemon will be getting Megas. I mentioned Kingdra, and several others earlier.

I'd like to see Mega Evolutions for Raichu, Flygon, Mightyena, Machamp, Golem, Marowak, Sandslash, Arbok, Steelix, Girafarig, Donphan, Gallade, Lilligant (with Fairy typing of course!), Druddigon, Golurk, and other non-OU Pokemon.

Kingdra is actually from gen 2.
