6th Gen Mega Evolution in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

Interesting news: The official ORAS website has added Zangoose and Seviper to their Pokemon tab. Nothing we didn't already know about them, but do you guys think this means they'll be getting Mega evolutions? Discuss!
 
^I pointed that out earlier; I also heard a rumor that they would receive Megas along with two other notable Pokemon (the names were not provided). I'm hoping that the rumor isn't true and that they're just on the site because they're version exclusives, but there's also a good chance it is true because they were put on the site XD

If the rumor is to be believed, I would hope the two "notable" Pokemon would be Flygon and Milotic, though Salamence is also a possibility. I personally hope Salamence doesn't get a Mega, but that's just my own preference.

Maybe, they are the only Pokemon who aren't aces to any trainer, or who aren't getting a Mega that are featured.

Speaking of those two, I found a funny article when they first posted them half a month ago, calling them new Pokemon and wondering if they were legends :P.

I do hope they get Megas, then they'll be close to legends ;)

Ah my bad, I didn't even see that haha xD;

Flygon and Milotic would be good, but I'm still waiting for Sharpedo and Camerupt, really want them to get Mega evolutions.
 
OK wow I actually forgot about Camerupt and Sharpedo. gg self ;; Now that I remember them, I think that they being the two notable Pokemon would be more likely, especially since they're Maxie's and Archie's aces. I still wanna see Megas Flygon and Milotic (if they happen), but I've already waited for such quite some time; I can wait more XD

Perhaps they'll save those two if we don't get them this month. I still think we're getting somewhere around six Megas.

Oh yeah, forgot about Lati@s. Would they make a big deal about the announcement of those though? I mean, I'm sure they know we all know they exist. Thought they would just lowkey mention it behind some more prominent new info i.e. Mega Camerupt & Sharpedo!

I wouldn't say we would get six Megas, all at once. Maybe we might get 4, The Latis and Zangoose/Seviper. "Notable" is just screaming Latis for me. This is mainly becauase the Latis, hold Legendary status. Not Mascots, but "Notable" Pokémon.

If we do get just 4, then we will get Flygon and Milotic next month. Probably when we get closer to the release date, Nintendo will have a direct for ORAS, and gives away new Megas, like they did in XY(who was the Mega Kanto starters).

I'm sure there's going to be more than just two. As I said before, I think we'll see what we see the same number of Megas announced as we saw last August.
Also the world notable strikes me as Pokemon that are well known, and popular. Such as Milotic and Salamence. I wouldn't mind if those four along with the Latis are announced this upcoming week :3
 
Notable means noteworthy/significant, so in Pokemon, that could go two ways: either it refers to popular Pokemon (such as Milotic, Salamence, and the Latis), or it could refer to Pokemon that belong to an important character (Camerupt, Sharpedo, and now Flygon because of Aarune).

I agree that the Latis will probably not be revealed as GF is aware that they've been leaked. Of course, there are people who haven't heard about it, but they can find out for themselves in the games XD I would think they'd want to show Megas that the population can only speculate about, as it'll be more worthwhile.

They ended up re-announcing Mega Blaziken alongside the other two Mega Hoenn Mega starters so I wouldn't put it pass them to properly introduce the Mega Latis. Especially if what we saw in XY were just prototype models.
 
I really want to see Camerupt and Sharpedo, though. Maybe the Latis, will be saved until something larger, such as, a Nintendo Direct or an official trailer. So we probably might just get Zangoose, Seviper, Camerupt, and Sharpedo. They all have specualtions to be expounded upon, considering Zangoose and Seviper were both posted on the Pokemon Tab of the official website. And Archie and Maxie have Mega Keystones, and having them revealed now would make sense.
 
This may not be really relevant to the actual subject, but since it is somewhat related to mega evolution and it's also about reveals, I do see the debut of Primal Rayquaza being a possibility, in addition to those commonly listed.

GF sometimes likes to keep us speculating. Also Zangoose and Seviper could mean nothing in the end, with us just reading too much into it.

Well that's the fun of it all. You don't tell a little kid, what he's getting for Christmas, ahead of time. You keep them, guessing, and the want becomes mounded on, then you can either have those dreams sought out, or crash in your face, when the time is right.

With that said, we pretty much won't know all the Megas, pre-release. I'm pretty sure XY had a few, they never mentioned. So let's watch the Fireworks. Because I will riot, if we don't see Mega-Gallade or Mega-Cacturne, by the time the game is out xD not really

I did forget about Mega Blaziken being shown, though I'd assume it was shown because the other starters were and it'd be weird without it xD If the Latis' Mega models were to receive redesigns, that would be stupendous. I disliked that they looked almost exactly the same (though it did make sense since they're siblings, plus their normal and shiny color palettes are combinations of their non-Mega normal and shiny colors) and would prefer that they at least have different color palettes.

Maybe they'll make Mega Latias' triangle red, and Mega Latios' triangle blue. At least that way they'll be easier to tell apart. I wouldn't mind if Latias were a greyish purple seeing how they are based on birds (if it and Blaziken...(again Blaziken comes up...) having been one Pokemon during beta art is any indication), and female birds tend to be grey and less colorful than their male counterparts. Interestingly Latios is the one who has a greyish neck. Maybe Mega Latios will get the greyish color it's normal form has.
 
I think zangoose and seviper were just meant to show us that we will be getting version exclusives again in the game. Personally I would love to see those two get megas. They could have them just like how they had manetric and houndoom in x and y.
 
The more I think about it, the more I want a Mega Tropius. Give it thick fat, and a boost to HP, defense, and special Defense. It would work wonderfully as a tank, while offering excellent coverage of type advantage to bug,water,rock,ground,fighting, grass, and having no type weakness as a result of its ability. Its a work of art I'm telling you.

You could be right on both accounts. It's certainly not set in stone, so we'll have to wait and see what they do with Seviper & Zangoose. I honestly wouldn't be opposed to them getting Mega evolutions; I'd just rather see Camerupt and Sharpedo getting them instead.
