6th Gen Mega Evolution in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

I'm not sure if it'd exactly be worth banning it. Well, maybe it would (nobody used's it by-hand as of yet, so it's hard to say), but I personally wouldn't like it, honestly. Altaria is sort of an underrated Pokémon, and with this mega-form, it's finally getting some chance to shine; seeing this taken away as instantly like this is, in my opinion, definitely not okay.

So far, those judgement are made from immunity, resistances, and weakness; stats and ability haven't been released yet, though (have they?), so I suppose a final decision can't be reached until they officially are.

I think it's the fact that Altaria's moveset only needs to address half the game's Pokémon that is the worrying thing. I'm going to have to breed one for when I get my hands on its Mega Stone so I can use it on something I'm now involved with, but I worry it would make my team unbeatable. And that's not the intent.

It has Double-Edge and Return on the physical side (it was stated that its Attack will be raised upon Mega Evolving, so they would be handy). It also has Hyper Voice!

Anyway, I personally can't see Mega Altaria getting banned, but maybe becoming OU. Honestly, can't really say for certain 'til I know what its updated stats are.

Mega Altaria won't be banned, at least not yet. It does have a very good typing, but that is not nearly enough to merit such an extreme action. Keep in mind that regular Altaria is scraping the bottom of the barrel in NU.

I think it'll be OU. In Uber's it'll face off against Dialga, and Iron Plate Arceus which will probably take it down before it can do much.
Even in OU it faces trouble. It looks like it'll be the best Hydreigon repellant though so maybe it'll be in the same tier as Hydreigon's tier.

Something tells me that Mega Salamance is going to outclass Mega Pinsir for having better stats, better dual typing, and better movepool. It was fun for Pinsir while it lasted.

I also apparently realized the Swablu line learns Hyper Voice as an egg move... thank god it didn't suffer the "Pixilate curse" lol. The reason why I named it that was because the two other Pixilate users - Mega Gardevoir and Sylveon, need to learn Hyper Voice in B2/W2 (the latter's case while it's still an Eevee) and then needed Pokemon Bank to transfer to 6th Gen.

At least getting Hyper Voice onto Altaria won't be as painful of a process.

I love using Aerilate Mega Pinsir with Return, but I wonder whether Mega Salamance will keep its higher attack and be physical or if it will stay more on the special side.

As for Altaria, its normal form has even Attack and Special Attack, so depending on its stat increases, it could potentially be able to use Return with a higher Attack stat.

For reference, Moonblast = 95 BP and Hyper Voice + Pixilate = 117 BP. (Not factoring in STAB, of course.)

Mega Altaria in Ubers would also have to deal with the newly banned Aegislash, which is already pretty popular as is. Though, Altaria does have access to EQ, which is good against Steel and Poison types, two of its four weaknesses.

Mega Altaria is amazing, and I'm going to use it, probably in Omega Ruby which won't be my main run. However, is anyone else shocked at Mega Lopunny? Incredibly random choice for a Mega haha, but I like it nonetheless.

Pixilate changes Normal type moves into Fairy type moves and gives them 30% extra power :3 It's the same with Aerilate and Refrigerate--they turn Normal type moves into Flying and Ice type moves respectively and give them a 30% boost. Also, Altaria DOES learn Moonblast; it learns it at level 60!

According to Bulbapedia Altaria does learn Moonblast, by level up too. It can also learn Dazzling Gleam.

Yeah, irc it boosts the normal move's move by 30 percent. For example say it had a 100 BP move. After Pixelate it'll be 130, and then after the stab bonus it'll be 195. At least I think the bonus comes first.

I think we'll get 1 more at the very least, and 5 more at the most. Hopefully Mega Milotic will be one. The issue mentions Feebas's evolution into Milotic. So it'll be fitting if it's Mega stone was obtained in the new version of the Hoenn contests. Perhaps after defeating all the contests with it, or at least the beauty portion.

That's what I thought when I first seen it. Then I seen Mega Altaria besides it. But Mega Latios and Latias still haven't been revealed, plus it seems weird if Lopunny was the only Sinnoh Mega....so there is always that but perhaps the next game will have Sinnoh Megas so maybe thats why Lopunny is the only one.

I just figured out that Milotic is likely the fourth corner of the circle (the lower half) from it's scan detailing how Feebas evolves. But there is no Mega there. Just the names of the games. I hope it'll get one next issue. Hopefully even two. One could be Water/Dragon (Omega) and the other can be Water/Fairy (Alpha) :3

Milotic with two evos. would be awesome; it'd make it even worth getting. So glad I bred myself a Feebas; it'll save me time trying to fish one up XD
