You missed the point that Gallade was an add-on to an evolutionary line, and so was Dusknoir. You could think of those as Mega equivalents to Kirlia and Dusclops.

I get Dusknoir but Gallade is an alternate evolution to a Pokemon which already had a final evolution. Besides it's unfair for Gallade not to get one but Gardevoir does.

Gardevoir was in the lowest tiers of competitive Pokemon until it got its Mega this generation, while Gallade has been just below the standard tier ever since it was introduced. In terms of power it was definitely not unfair for Gardevoir to get one but Gallade to not.

A lot of Pokemon didn't get anything positive. I'm sure Plusle and Minun would've loved to get a Fairy typing or a Mega evolution to make them actually relevant Pokemon, but that didn't happen. Gallade's been solid since its release.

Well they did Nuzzle as a move :) And they got Megas trademarked so those words may end up getting eaten soon for those two :P

I'm not sure what the chances are of Dusknoir getting some mega-form, but if it does win up getting one, I'd like it to lose some of its overall size and become more slim and sleek-looking. Normally, it's able to play as a tank, but with this design, it would make sense for them to have us utilize this Pokémon as a sweeper, more or less.

That'll make it work like a much different Pokemon (maybe more so than Mega Garchomp compared to normal Garchomp). That's not a bad thing though. I'll like to see it be a special sweeper to mirror Mega Banette who is a physical attacker.

I'd like it if it were mixed, actually. To act as a counterpart for Mega Banette, we already have Mega Gengar, you know?

Oh right, I guess a Mega Dusknoir can be our mixed ghost attacker. Or perhaps our ghost wall if they don't change it much.

I know. I thought some of the fan-made concept arts looked better than the one Pokemon released.

That's true. I especially liked the black one with a red glow on it's body and the top of the X forming arcs opposite to one another.

I don't think you can say that Gallade was at a higher tier than that of Gardevoir. They both have 518 Base stats. Just look at Blaziken and others, Blaziken had 530 base stats and still got a mega. Eventually everyone will have a Mega Form, that is already confirmed.

It was also confirmed that most used, and most underused pokemon were given a mega. It is not just based on stats and stuff or most popular or most used.

Speaking of BSTs Swampert has the highest BST of all starters, so it's Mega is sure to be the highest BST Mega Final evolution Starter. It already has good hp. It's said to be getting a higher attack stat. Now imagine it gain in bulk. Should Ice Punch return as a MTM it can sweep in the rain thanks to it's ability. One wonders if Perhaps Mega Swampert was created as a counter to fellow Hoenn starter Mega Blaziken.

Interestingly Blaziken's fire moves aren't super effective against either of the other two Mega Starters, with Mega Sceptile now taking 1x damage. So Blaziken will need to rely on Fighting or non-stab Brave Bird to defeat Mega Sceptile. Actually in terms of TYPING only Mega Sceptile is the best of the Hoenn Megas, inflicting 4x damage to (Mega) Swampert with it's Stab grass and the aforementioned gain over (Mega) Blaziken. So when it comes to Megas Mega Blaziken finds itself itself in a offensive position similar to fellow flightless bird final starter, Empoleon's defensive position with the other two (who takes damage from both their second typings thanks to it's second typing... well at least it has Ice Beam similar to how Blaziken has Brave Bird).

Hiya, I would love to browse through all 53 pages to see whos been announced, but I'm sure someone will be lovely enough to clue me in on who's actually been announced and who the most likely candidates are.

I know the starters are all now Mega'd up as are the two Legendary - and as well as my soon to be favorite METAGROSS!

Are there any others?

I'd love to see the obvious have a mega (for those who are less aware of the obvious Arcanine) and Dragonite - But I would guess that the evoulitions will mainly come from the ORAS world - in that case i think Shrifty, Slaking, Hariyama, skarmory, and Salamance would be the ones I'd love to see get Mega'd up - Mainly because I'd love to see what they would do with them!

I'd absolutely love to see a Hariyama and 'Mence mega, considering I would be all over that competitively. They also seem like the logical choices, very exciting to see someone agree!

I made a thread about this earlier, but was told I should post here instead. In this video, when showing off Mega Metagross's speed, it outsped Sceptile. As of XY, turn order is determined before mega evolution activates. They were both lv 100 in this clip, meaning that unless if both their natures and EVs were rigged (Metagross Jolly 252 Speed EVs, Sceptile Hindered Speed 0 EVs), the Sceptile should have still outsped.

Could the rules governing mega evolution have changed? Or is it more likely that Pokemon Get☆ TV had just tinkered with the stats (or Trick Room/Sticky Web), such that they could skip straight-away to showing off Mega Metagross?
