6th Gen Mega Evolution in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

Mega Glalie and Mega Steelix were definitely needed. Glalie now can abuse Explosion, and Steelix' Earthquake, Stone Edge and Iron Head deal even more damage in the Sandstorm!

You get them from the e-shop I believe, just input the code you have. Judging from the pictures on Serebii I'll say the East Asian nations (as some of the text looks Korean, while in others it looks like Japanese) until the clock strikes and it's the 15th in the rest of the world. Except for the US (and perhaps the rest of the Americas), we have to wait until the 21st...

I like Mega Steelix. Mega Glalie looks weird...but the good kind as someone said. It really looks like it should be Ice/Dark, but that might've hurt it more than helped.
 
Okay , Why does Mega Steelix look so majestic But Mega Gialie look so weird ???

yeah I just realized that. It's now October 15th in East Asia, so that makes perfect sense. I'm next tomorrow!

I heard that Steelix became pure Steel, but I've seen footage of it, and a Carvanha used Ice Fang on Steelix, but it didn't say it was resisted.
 
Steelix keeps Steel/Ground it looks/

I love Mega Steelix though. But Glalie looks really weird. I do like it though. Will stay has my favorite Ice type for now. I just hope we can get these without demos.
 
Mega Glalie kinda reminds me of the Orne from Kid Icarus: Uprising.
 
I love the designs, especially Mega-Steelix. Kinda wish it had gotten a different typing, like Steel/Fairy (first thing I thought of when I saw the crystal looking pieces on it...) but no biggie. Hopefully it makes Steelix a bit more useful for the competitive scene. Mega-Glalie looks cool to me, kinda looks like it should have been Ice/Dark. Hopefully it'll be useful too, at least more so than the rest of the Ice types.

Also... anyone else notice Mega Lati@s fighting Blaziken and Milotic? Blaziken has a Mega-Evo... maybe a hint for Mega-Milotic? #hopefulthinking

A STAB Ice-Type Explosion??? (and another 30% from ability) My Mono-Dragon Team is DOOMED! (Just Kidding) Glaie is one of the worst.

Steelix is cool though. His mega doesn't impress me, but is good enough. Maybe his defense will stay put and just dump it all into Special Defense. :)

Yes I believe they're hinting towards a Mega Milotic. They're constantly showing Shiftry, so that one will get a mega, and with Shiftry, Ludicolo also will get a mega since they're counterparts. Slowking and Dusknoir have also been used, so there is a chance they'll receive Megas as well.

Mega Glalie gets a boost in its Attack, Special Attack and Speed. Its defenses remain untouched. My guess is that Mega Glalie gets +30 in both its offenses, and +40 in its Speed stat. Along with Refrigerate, Mega Glalie becomes a thread to Dragon types.

I doubt we'll see a Mega-Slowking, as cool and kind of obvious as it is (what with Mega-Slowbro.) I would absolutely LOVE a Mega-Dusknoir. Give him a bit more hope and usability in competitive.

I read somewhere that Mega Steelix was getting a boost in attack, and both of it's defenses. Can't recall where.

Sounds good to me lol. Definitely appropriate stat increases. Can't wait to use it. I think this may be my most anticipated new Mega, and I'm not entirely sure why. Probably because I love the design.
 
Yeah the reddit leak is fake even if solorock and lunatone get megas. There is no customization as stated by serebii today. Anyway those megas are awesome! Can't wait to see what other countries will get. How about a mega braviary for america?

I agree. Mega Steelix has one of the more unique Mega designs. It could actually pass off as an evolution imo.

Kinda surprised they fixed the alternate Mega Evolution issue with Gallade, but added Slowbro and Glalie to create the same issue again.
 
Odds are we'll uncover more Mega Evolutions over the coming days leading upto the release once the Demo has surfaced worldwide.

They may have Mega Slowking, and Mega Froslass in the games too. Chances are these aren't all of the Megas.
 
If they don't introduce them, I don't feel that it'd be much of a major deal; it may seem unbalanced for a while, but they're always able to fix that in their next game release.
