Micromon is a newly released ios game and it is the bomb diggity. It is like pokemon, but with better graphics, and 130 or so new micromons. Has anyone here played it? I think there's online play as well, so that's pretty cool.

So yeah, anyone played it? Anyone wanna play online or something?

No offense, but that really doesn't justify your claim. I'm generally okay with copycats, but that's weak. Aside from graphics, what is the gameplay like? If it's anything like FB's Monster Galaxy, then it's probably not a game I'd be too interested in because that was annoyingly terrible to deal with.

Haha, sorry, I was 10 minutes into a game I was waiting for 2 or so years. I wanna say that the gameplay is really good, I like the controls, the only downside to it would be the stamina while running, even though it charges really fast. You can change genders whenever you want as well. I like how if you wanna fight a Micromon, you gotta look in the grass for a shaking one, rather than them appearing randomly. Same with trainers (in this case, tamers), if one of them wants to fight, they'll have a little sword over their head, and once you talk to them you get a yes/no if you wanna fight, and they'll eventually wanna rebattle later. The battle system is great, unlike pokemon where each micromon attacks per turn, it is sorta like that. If you have a micromon with really high speed, sometimes the order will go
    Your Micromon > YM > OM > YM > OM > YM > YM

But I'm not sure if I'm explaining that correctly.
It also has an egg system. Sometimes, you'll come across people that will give you eggs, or some will give you diamonds, which you can use on eggs. The egg system basically works like this.
You get an egg, and you use some thing that is provided to you, and use the egg in it. You press the button, "spin" and it starts showing a bunch of different micromon. Once you put stop it will stop rotating, or going slower, and you will end up getting a rare micromon that is stronger than the ones you will find in the wild. For diamonds, you can also buy a pet, or change your avatar into another one that is not the boy or the girl, a different costume I guess. I also really like how the IAPs are not requiered, or bothersome. They don't advertise them to you. As of now, the online is very broken, as you can have level 1s and fight level 70s, but I am pretty sure they are working on fixing that.

And sorry, I've never played Monster Galaxy, so I can't answer there :/

Of course you are the one, who made this thread xD. I don't mind copycats, it looks cool. Too bad I canmot play it because I do not have ios, but rather Android. Looks awesome, but how much space does that take o.o

Sounds almost exactly like Monster Galaxy, except for the whole gender-change thing, you couldn't get eggs, and that it was free-to-play (but you had to pay real money if you wanted to get digital items)...oh, and Monster Galaxy's monsters were called Moga. :P

To be fair the screenshots in the first post are very old, iirc, and look nothing like the Micromon we have now. If I were to base my decision on whether or not to download this app on these old pictures it'd definitely have been a no. Here are some newer ones:

    Spoiler:

The graphics are much better when you jump in and play but they aren't anything jaw-dropping either, though that's beside the point to me. I beat the story a few days ago and am slowly trying to nab all the Micromon that I've not caught yet. It can be pretty hard since the speed stat works pretty poorly imo - your monsters seem to be locked into a specific speed stat that never increases as you level up so I constantly get into battles with my lv. 60+ Micromon with 2 speed against lv. 5s with 4 that go before me (sometimes going twice in a row) because their overall speed is higher.

It takes up almost 700 mbs (which is killing my space uwu.)

Personally, I think it's more than worth the dollar it costs in content and stuff to do but it takes up so much space that I'm borderline about to delete it. Also, I got it at the same time as Cytus and Deemo (which also take up tons of space) and those two appeal to me much more than a Pokemon clone, seeing as how I just got Pokemon X about a month and a half ago. Imo, the battle system isn't anything really exciting. As Sheep said, the speed system is annoying. After you battle, there is loot like the MinoMonsters system (if you know what that is) I do like the controls when out of battle though, and the graphics aren't bad. I may change my opinion about Micromon later when I actually find some time to sit down and finish it, but right now, it'll be an above average Pokemon clone.

Also, if you want to IAP anything, there's not much to buy. Probably the only thing worth buying would be the one wheeled motorcycle thing. It's like a bike and repel combined into one. Although it is cute to have an alpaca run behind you all the time...
