Mini-Modding: Do you do it?

    Personally, I do it all the time, just out of habit of (as selfish and power-hungry as this sounds) controlling people. Also, with my being slightly obsessive-compulsive (OCD), if I see stuff on the forum that isn't where it goes, I want to immediately have it corrected.

    Also, what's so bad about it? I just hate things not being correct/orderly. If you hate that, you're just flat-out arrogant (I believe that would be the right word, at least).

    Well, for sure, I don't mini-mod in PC.
    For other forums, it is a whole different story. XD

    I really hate minimods in PC, there are some (not all) good moderators, but yet they don't want to report the post and just act smart, like once in Other Trivia.

    But if the mods are horrible and inactive, I would go for it!
     
    I technically don't. XD;

    I make a comment relating to something in the post (even if Went wonders why exactly I do it), then tell them what they did wrong. Though if it's in OVP or something, I'd just report. It depends on how funny the thread is... so idk, depends what you would call it, too.

    Though I often just complain to someone if I want something done about a thread. XD Siggy being a great example.
     
    I really don't.. I like seeing people thrown out.. xD

    I'm constantly hoping someone makes a scene.. So why try to help them and get infracted myself and at the same time labeling myself as a stuck up geezer.. xD


    Tho on the other hand when I see a post in a wrong section.. I do not mention it in the thread but I do hit the report button.... I dun know if that's mini modding, might be, but hey I haven't gotten infracted for it so far....


    Tho I have seen posts made by other people that have things like *reported* in them... I just wanna kick the people who do that.. :þ
     
    I rarely venture outside the Other Chat forum, so I wouldnt have many opportunities to. Seeing as its against the rules, I wouldnt, and I just wouldnt bother anyway.
     
    When I first started foruming, I did nothing but mini-mod and I was infamous for it. I do it on the odd occasion here when I see people blatantly breaking rules and I've even been awarded a warning for it. I'm not picky with people who break the 4 word limit and such though.
     
    God, no. It pisses me off so much when people backseat mod. It's like backseat driving. I never do it. If someone does something wrong it's not my job to correct them, I just let the mods. And if someone feels the need so badly to backseat mod, just PM a mod instead and let them do it. No one is going to know you went and told on someone.

    I don't think I ever mini-modded when I was a member. XD; I'm sure I have, but not enough that I remember.
     
    I get paid for it, too.

    $1.00 for each thread I say should be locked.
    $.25 for each thread I say is in the wrong section.
    $10.00 for when I tell an admin how to do their job.
    etc. Just your typical dues.
     
    Just an fyi, it IS spam to mini-mod and you CAN be infracted for it.

    ;( Hopefully that'll change some of your answers around. Just report anything you see out of line and leave it for the actual mods.

    I used to mini-mod before I was a staff member but that was waaaay back when we had like 4 active staff members and only one had global mod powers so it wasn't unwarranted, lmao.

    I guess this forum has come a long way eh? Wow, you wont think that now seeing the amount of members.

    Anyway, I don't really mini-mod. I havent even been here long enough to even use the report button. When I do see something out of line, I'll make sure to report it.
