Set in modern-day Paris, the series focuses on teenage ninth grader. Marinette Dupain-Cheng and her classmate and crush Adrien Agreste. When evil arises, Marinette transforms into her secret superhero persona Ladybug, while Adrien transforms into his superhero persona Cat Noir. Oblivious to each other's true identities, the two work together to protect Paris from the mysterious villain Hawk Moth, who covets and attempts to steal their powers by using his akuma, butterflies infused with black energy, to influence and transform everyday citizens into supervillains.

I'm in love with this series so much. It's full of cuteness and it makes your heart go ahhh askdkfmslspnzjgc ;A; I've been watching it since it was released in French and Korean, and now that an English dub is out, I'm hoping that there'll be other fans of the show. =DDD

I heard about this series, and it's now currently airing in Australia on ABC3. I might have to watch at least one episode so I can see what all the talk of this show is about.

Well the original PV had an appealing art style and appeared to have a slightly darker atmosphere/storyline. I was expecting something that I would probably enjoy but we've actually gotten something targeted at a much younger audience.

To each his own, I suppose.

YES YES YESSSSSS! THANK YOU FOR PUTTING UP THIS THREAD TO MY ULTIMATE TRASH LOVE <3 not obsessed
I'm currently dead to the world till season 2 comes since they finished at a really good place to end season 1.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, this is honestly the best explanation video that could ever explain the trash the is Miraculous. Hell if you have seen it watch it you will probably like this more xD

I'm actually more pleased to see the show go the way it went. Just like Thomas Astruc (creator)'s reason for ditching Felix (original Chat Noir) was that he was too anime cliché - Tsundere male lead who because of the heroine's optimism and personality becomes nicer and finally realizes his feeling for her. Hell as much as I like my fair share of tsundere males I've enjoyed, Felix annoyed me.

    from somewhere on tumblr said:
His intentions to charm Ladybug were for underhanded purposes. I think this is the most important point. Apparently, Felix was originally pursuing Ladybug in order to get his ring off his finger and to get rid of his "bad luck curse". Granted, it's understandable why he's so desperate to woo Ladybug, but it's not out of good intentions like Adrien's. Adrien is genuinely in love with Ladybug, sees and treats her as an equal, respects her, and admires her for her strengths. Adrien loves Ladybug as a person and because she's Ladybug. Felix just saw her as a ticket out of a mess he's in. And that's not a good message to send to young boys.

He felt that it would have limited the character's storytelling and development with Felix, and feels like he can pull out a lot more of an interesting character with Adrien than an what he originally had planned for Felix. I really wasn't feeling his character to begin with and if the creator feels he wouldn't be able to create good development then I'm happy he went with this route instead.

I also was bought more with the 3D than with the 2D. Aside from the bits and pieces here and there with parts of the animation that are a bit off - I still preferred 3D over 2D. Characters themselves actually didn't really attracted me as much.

That being said, there are still at least 2 more seasons confirmed to see if there's gonna be anything even the slightest bit dark and a lot of time for character development. Not to mention there has been a Japanese OVA with 2D planned anyway. I'm still a bit meh because it is Toei...

Spoiler: I'm done with your trash chloe - season 1 spoilers

Can we just move Chloe to another town please.

I've seen so many kids loving this show it's adorable how much a lot of them look up to ladybug and chat.

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS THREAD STOP ME FROM MAKING A SUPER LONG POST BECAUSE I'M SO ADDICTED TO LADYBUG RN

I'm 2D animation trash and I almost always prefer 2D to 3D, but I actually REALLY like the way they've handled the 3D in MLB. It's actually super tasteful and well animated IMO so I'm really happy with it. Plus, it's really fun to try and translate the Zagtoon look into 2D art haha!

I'm a huge sucker for Gabriel Agreste who is, after Plagg, my favorite character. I practically live on the Agreste Family tag on tumblr I swear hahaha they are my FAVORITE...!!! Just really like the way they handle the storytelling and characters in this show. (I admit I didn't really like Felix or Bridgette all that much because they each took their stereotypes a little too far to the extreme where it kind of felt like they were caricatures of actual quality anime... but I still do like acknowledging that they were once a thing!)

I guess for non-spoiler conversation, who are your guys' favorite characters and why? :000

Aside from OTP, I really like Alya's character. I'm rooting for her to discover Ladybug's true identity (and imagine her reactions xD). She was soo close in that one episode about a missing textbook.

As for secondary characters, I like the concept design behind Juleka as well as Climatika. I quickly warmed up to Volpina as a character too.

Aside from Chat being my favourite character, definitely Nathanael!
